At Southampton he earned a starting spot by taking advantage of his sub appearances. His coach at that time Hasenhuttl also challenged and criticized him publicly because he wasn't training hard and wasn't fighting for every ball. Since then Broja took the challenge and thrived.

Right now he's not showing any signs of life. He started twice in cup games and was the worst player on the field. It's safe to say that he's not doing anything in training either if he can't get any minutes in the league. With the NT he plays like he just woke up from a nap. Sure he's out of position but you can see his energy levels are rock bottom. Even Hysaj said that he's in his own head after the game.

He definitely seems checked out. Doesn't even look like he wants to play. Burnley spent all that money on him and they don't trust him in the league at all. In these cup games against 3rd division teams he's dropping stinkers.

That injury did a number on him. Maybe more mentally than physically.
He is not at the level of the Premier League right now and I've been saying for several years he needs to seek a move to a lower level league before he puts the nail in the coffin on his career.

He has been inactive for almost 3 years now and this will make another season where he is hardly playing. He needs a career resurrection in one of the leagues like Turkey, Belgium, Holland etc.

In Albania talented youngsters are often overlooked in favour of the ones, who have the right connections.
However we can't expect to produce many good players, taking into account our small pool.
How many albanians have left and leave every year? There are not a lot left there.
Highest % of youth leaving in the whole of europe and that’s without being in the EU

I grew up in London, the last 5 years I feel as if there’s more albanians there than in Albania.

I know have experienced life both in Kosove and Shqiperi (living not just holidays) and the desperation of the youth in albania can’t be described. It’s sad we’ve allowed it to get to this point. Football is just a game, something for fun but it shows the problems of wider society.

It’s nothing to do with height, genetics or anything of that nature. Actually latest stats show Albanians from Albania are just as tall now, funny that a nation finally has food and they grow.

It has everything to do with our country being so corrupt, so devoid of any sort of development for our country. Forget football, forget any sports , we don’t produce anything, all we do is launder drug money from top to bottom.

It’s a society problem. Albania needs to be burned to the ground and start over.

Question, has anyone here lived in Albania ?

Problemi ma i madh i futbollit shqiptar osht qe as nuk e ka provu a mundet me prodhu lojtar edhe a mundet me konkuru me Serbine, Kroacine e Sllovenine!

Football needs to stop time whenever the ball is not in play..

Automatically ends players rolling around faking injuries, not picking up the ball to throw it in, kicking it away when foul is called, and all the other stuff that makes the game unbearable.

90 minute games are barely 50 minutes of actual play time these days!
