Favoritism was calling Lila over Rashica to Euro 2016 because he was a "team player"
Favoritism is having Cika start all the qualifiers when he clearly can't even hold the ball upfront or win a header against a midget.
Favoritism was calling Balaj years after his Portugal goal.
Asani is one of the few players who deservedly WON his spot at this Euro.

Lila contributed in those qualifiers and was a guaranteed starter for his club. Rashica was an u21 player like Medon Berisha is right now and when he got chances to play in the pre-tournament friendlies he was pretty bad. There is no way Rashica deserved a callup over Lila. You should've used the Veseli over Djimsiti example but even then Djim was a reserve at Atalanta.

Asani favoritism is similar to Balaj favoritism and even much worse. Balaj at least was a full time professional player and the options back then were limited anyway. Asani hasn't kicked a ball since October of 2023.

A lot of fans won't be happy with Asani after the Euros.... I'm just spoiling the inevitable.

Back when Florian Marku was getting ready to take on Chris Kongo, Marku posted a video to his FB of the original faceoff outside of Sky Studios in London.

Armando Broja commented 2 emojis.. got 8 likes.
Jasir Asani commented 2 emojis.. got 58 likes!

I will not forget about this as it left a big impression on me when I first saw it months ago! Just goes to show what Jasir Asani means to Albanians!

Albanians hold Jasir Asani in very high regard for what he accomplished during qualifiers!

Last time Asani kicked a ball was in early October of 2023. His own coach publicly criticized his fitness levels. What is a player like that going to do against Italy, Spain, and Croatia??

It's very unprofessional by Sylvinho to call him up but what's worse is that no Albanian outlet mentions it. They are more worried about their friend Cikalleshi because it hurt his feelings.

I'm no fan of Uzuni cause he's bungled too many open goals for us, but besides his terrible finishing he's actually a decent player otherwise who gives 100%.
The message from Sylvinho is clear..

Your spot is NOT guaranteed no matter
-what club you play for
-what league you play in
-how many minutes you have played for your club
-how many goals/assists you have scored for your club
-how long you have been a part of the NT
-what you have contributed to the NT
-who your friends are

Sylvinho will bring only those who HE believes can give the best performance on the pitch against the given opponents. There is no care in the world about hurt feelings!

While the criticism against Asani is somewhat warranted how can you call that a favoritism callup? Dude literally carried us during the qualifiers and was one of our top 3 players in several games.

It's favoritism because he's getting rewarded for past events not because of what he is right now and his potential of helping the team.

Je i vetmi poster qe vazhdon me te njejten teori qe osht deshmu si gabim sidomos me Ramadanin ka qene kulmi por vazhdon me argumentin e njejte qesharak. Kur Sylvinho e ka ftu Asanin, ti e ke kritiku ftesen e ke pretendu qe Asani osht amater, ai e ka deshmu ne fushe me gollat vendimtar qe ja ke fut kot edhe na kualifiku ne EURO's qe Sylvinho ka te drejte.

I don't like the decision to leave Uzuni unless it was because his injury will cause problems for him to play.

Even ignoring goals since he doesn't score many with us he has speed and movement which is enough to help the team against good sides, particularly off the bench where he can run against tired legs.`

He's also had a lot of bad luck with us and really could have scored many more goals. I think if we took him he would score one and he's proven to be a top flight level player.

Other than that it's hard to argue with leaving Cika behind even though it's sad on an emotional level. He isn't better than any of the attackers called up and he probably understands that himself.

Dallku wrote: Tue May 28, 2024 11:51 pm Against Sweden and Chile Asani proved that he can't compete against actual athletes. He's too physically weak and gets bullied. A little shoulder to shoulder and he goes flying.

A few fluke goals in qualifiers don't change that because those professionals he will go up against won't give him that space since they know he has scored goals like that. He's a 1 trick pony so he won't do anything else.

He's 100% a favoritism callup. Because he scored those goals in qualifiers nothing more.

If we're honest, Manaj is a favoritism callup too but Sylvinho has the club goals excuse so it's hard to blame him for that.

What Sylvinho has done completely blows that out the water!

26 man list yet he drops an all time scorer who has started every match until we clinched, and one our biggest success stories who went from 2nd Albanian league to tearing up La Liga (and every other league he played in until now). Uzuni scored at Spain last time out and at times, he has been one of our best players!

Who did he drop them for?

Random guys with minimal contribution like Arber Hoxha, Medon Berisha, etc. Then to rub salt in the wound, he has the nerve to say he wanted Arbnor Mucolli there too but he was injured. 😂😂😂

Very harsh, very ruthless, unbelievable for me!

That being said, full respect to our coach Sylvinho for his accomplishments. The decisions are his to make and he has earned our trust. I hope the “new” additions will turn out to be impact players for us going forward!

Let’s go Albania!
Hoxha and Mucolli performed well. Cika has been terrible for us for the last 2 years. Almost no contribution at all in the qualifiers. Dude cannot even win an aerial duel against someone a head shorter than him.
