Because the local talents are starting to become as good. Muriqi, Rrahmani and Rashica all are examples.

Just imagine the players with actual talent that flopped because they were wasted in the Superliga. Someone recent is Abazaj who to me is athletic and talented but flopped at Anderlecht.ZenMaster wrote: ↑Wed Sep 16, 2020 9:34 pmJust imagine what kind of mindset you should have to reach Lazio after being one of most worst finishers in Albanian Superleague.
I just hope going forward with more investments and emphasis on youth Albanian teams can start to develop players.

Most Kosovar diaspora moved to Europe as a result of the war and Yugoslavia splitting up, so yeah, there's going to be a decline after last generation.
We still have the spaghetti Albos though. That's just getting started.

Technically the Spaghetti Albos have been in Italy longer than the Albanian diaspora in Switzerland.Aurora Bulkualis wrote: ↑Wed Sep 16, 2020 11:34 pm Most Kosovar diaspora moved to Europe as a result of the war and Yugoslavia splitting up, so yeah, there's going to be a decline after last generation.

Actually the other way around . Albanians from Albania mostly started mass migration after 1996-1997 when the pyramid crissis broke. Then the Italian system and mentality was much more “prejudicative” to Albanians till late 2010 unlike in Germany or Switzerland where Albanians from Yugoslavia were seens as victims . Albanians from Kosove mostly migrated since the 70-80 and then got their families in the 90s. Even those who fled after the war mosly migrated with families while Albanians to Italy migrated initially single Males who worked for few years and then took their families . From 2010 and later the Albanians made majority of the foreing players in their clubs (from U12 to U19) because racism and prejudice has changed a lot going more towards other eastern europeans or North africans. There will be a pool of decent players to choose from but the aim should be to raise players at home with academies and superliga having more young domestic players than foreigners . Albanians abroad will have the tendency of the country they live to send children to school and universities and have a stable secured life so there will be less diaspora football players in future.

To Albania i don’t think so. Maybe Nedim Bajrami could switch if the right offer came... He is playing at Empoli and is quite decent, probably in futurw will be playing in midtable Serie Aartan wrote: ↑Fri Sep 18, 2020 8:51 pm https://twitter.com/alex_crook/status/1 ... 0811162624
