Shqiptarët janë konvertuar me ndërgjegje? Nuk e di nëse duhet të qaj apo të qesh me këtë deklaratë. Po turqit si erdhën në trojet tona o zotni, me lule në dorë apo me shpata??!? Pa përmendur fare rastet e brutalizmit turk kundrejt Shqiptarëve, sipas mendimit tënd "konvertohu ose jeto si qen" është me dhunë apo me ndërgjegje?

Po pse s'u konvertuan Greket pra? Kishin ndonje status me të mirë se ne? Turqit erdhen si gjithe pushtuesit e tjere. Kuptohet qe sot do ishim me mirë Nqs s'do kishim qene ne zgjedhen Osmane per 500 vjet po ajo I perket se kaluares. Une po flas per sot. Turku s'detyron njeri me zorr të iki ne xhamite qe nderton.

Ah se harrova. A nuk ndertuan Turqit nje shkolle ne Prishtine qe ty tu prish gjaku me VV?

Po greket cjan ? me thuaj pak? para vitit 1821 greket nuk kan ekzistu si popull kan qene Arvanitas qe i liruan tokat greke te sotshem. Greket sot jan nje rrace e perzier turko-vlleh-arvanitas- magjup.

Plako, kush të tha që grekët nuk u konvertuan? E ke shumë gabim. Edhe ata u konvertuan masivisht. Arsyeja pse greqia sot është ortodokse është sepse e para punës shteti tyre u ndërtua mbi themele fetare, pra popuj të ndryshëm, kryesisht grekër dhe shqiptarë por dhe sllavë e bullgarë luftuan për krishtërimin e jo për ndonjë shtet grek. Pasi fituan, thanë në rregull fituam. Tani çfarë? Dhe rryma kryesore në atë kohë ishte rilindja e popullit grek, pra ata u quajtën grekër dhe kështu vazhdoi puna.

Arsyeja e dytë dhe më e rëndësishme është se grekët dhe turqit bënë shkëmbim popullsish mbi baza fetare. Të krishterë anadollakë vajtën në greqi dhe muslimanë grekë (apo dhe të tjerë) vajtën në turqi.

E me gjithë këto, është gabim të mendosh se greqia është 100% ortodokse. Faktikisht sot pjesa e Thrakës është shumicë muslimane dhe sot në greqi jetojnë mbi 100.000 grekë muslimanë (pa llogaritur imigrantët).

PS: Nuk është kompleks inferioriteti ti kesh sytë në ball.

Well the communist drilled in us a hatred for religion so for a lot of us it's a bit of a cultural shock this religious revival, especially the Islamic one, which feels very alien to most of us, including those who are of Moslem background. I despise Orthodoxy as well.

My feeling on Islam are very close to those of Leandro but when it comes to Turkey I don't see it as a purely religious matter, I just view them as a people with whom we have a shared history and who have a tremendous respect for us.

Obviously when you get fucked over as many times as we have you're bound to have all sorts of complexes.

Well you grew up in the West and as an Albanian from Kosova I'd guess Islam is part of what defines you as Albanian as is the case with most Albanians from Yugoslavia. That is not the case for the Albanians who came of age during Hoxha's years, which is basically what Leandro's representing here. There is a deep virulent anti-Islamist strain amongst our generation which is partly a product of Hoxha's propaganda for over 40 years.

Hoxha ironically was the son of a Gjirokastra hoxhe and he must have had a deep seated hatred of his father as he burned all of his father's holy books and his father was barely mentioned in his memoirs. There are rumours that Hoxha was a bastard. Hoxha was also a francophile and probably became a staunch secularist during his years in France.

All of Albania's Communist cinematography portrays religion and clerics in a very unfavorable way. Also, of all the foreign invaders (Turks, Germans, Italians) for some reason the Turks are portrayed in the worst way. Movies like "Scanderbeg", "Nentori i Dyte" and "Liri a Vdekje" portrays Turks as conniving little weasels and with the uttmost disdain.

In one, an Albanian resitance fighter (Xha Hyseni) who is part of an underground network that is trying to publish Albanian books interacts with a hoxha and then later he gets killed by getting stabbed in the back by what looks like a moslem cleric. The Catholic and Orthodox clerics were also portrayed in a very negative way, especially the Catholic ones due to their staunch resistance to the communists.

My views are actually a product of personal research. Earlier in my life i was sort of sympathetic towards muslims. Just read the kuran and you'll see what i mean.

To me islam is the religion of sociopaths, pedophiles and goat fuckers. It's in the kuran, just read it.
