An easy target for UEFA because of the overwhelming evidence. So we have no idea to what degree their success was attributable to their playing style or the match-fixing.

So this is the first year when ALL 8 Albanian teams got eliminated in the first round:
Albania: Partizani, Kukesi, Laci and Teuta
Macedonia: Shkendija and Shkupi
Kosova: Feronikeli and Prishtina.
Waiting on Partizani, Feronikeli and Shkendija now to be eliminated from the next round of EL.

I don't know what evidence that was when the only thing reported was odds movement. No player or official was charged for anything. This whole thing is weird because the evidence seems to be lacking...
So when Skenderbeu beat Sporting Lisbon 3-0 was that attributable to their skill or match fixing? Because if it was match mixing then Sporting was equally(and even more) involved in the match fixing but nobody dares to question them. If Sporting didn't fix that game then clearly that shows that Skenderbeu had merit.
How about when they eliminated Dinamo Zagreb and teams of that caliber? Was that proof of their level or match fixing?
Skenderbeu is easily the best Albanian club in history. It's not even close. It's a shame it ended like that.

Lol you love to troll. They are so good that the moment they were banned from Europe they stopped winning the league. They're nothing but a footnote in Albanian club football history. They got lucky their president was in the cahoots with Duka so they rode the wave. Watch them end up in the second division in the next couple of years.

Inside sources say Skenderbeu is planning to declare bankrupt so they get relegated to last league and Takaj creates another club named Korca to promote it from lower leagues. This way they don’t have to pay the 1 million € they had to pay Uefa.

Plastered all over Albanian media now. Takaj is planning to write off his debts by declaring bankrupt then is going to create a new team in the Kategoria i Trete.

Skenderbeu was a beast that took years and years of failure and improvement to create..the team that eliminated dzagreb could have beaten anyone and it will be a while if any other albanian club will get to that level, if they ever do..

Of course they stopped winning the league because the ban handicapped them completely. From motivation, to investments, etc.Plako wrote: ↑Fri Jul 19, 2019 6:08 amLol you love to troll. This relationship with Duka nonsense is silly because does Duka guarantee European success? I thought it was the opposite...
What they did domestically is irrelevant(even though their domestic consistency carried to Europe as well) but let's get real, who cares about winning that village league? Only Europe matters for small leagues and Skendebreu is the only Albanian team to not only qualify once for a Euro tournament but TWICE while eliminating and beating good team in the process. They would've eventually qualified for a Champions league as well if all that bullshit didn't happen. I'm sure of it. They were on the right path and getting better.
Compare that to teams like Partizani and Tirana. I don't care if they won 100 domestic titles between them. In Europe they are a complete embarrassment to Albania and even their fans cannot deny that. They are guaranteed to never or rarely pass a round.. It's pathetic.

Yup. You could see the growth in mentality and organization every year. They seemed like the only professional team in a completely amateur environment. They were even starting to make money by selling players for decent amounts.
In a few years they would've qualified for a champions league. I'm sure of it. That's the road they were heading in.

Seriously dude? Skenderbeu's success was created overnight by pure theft. They were basically a relegation team in 2010 (placed 10th out of 12th) and through the political help of Ridvan Bode (then PD Finance Minister) and their connections to Duka managed to dismantle Dinamo's 2010 winning team. In 2011 they stole the championship from a rising Flamurtari which never recovered as a team. They got a bit of competition from Safet Gjici who was using Kukesi as a tool to get into the politics and get a parliamentary mandate. Their rise coincided with the demise of Tirana (as their Egyptian owner got chased out of Albania) as well which had won 7 titles the decade before Skenderbeu's rise.
