Kukesi was better than this Bulgarian club but they did suffer physically in the 2nd half.
All Albanians clubs are alive after the 1st round..

If you check https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2020%E2%8 ... opa_League Wikipidia page, you can see that Tirana is qualified for the third qualifying round and it also has this little asterisk * belowSimboli i Diellit wrote: Thu Aug 27, 2020 9:46 pm If Kukesi passes then it should be the first time we have 4 teams (including Tirana) in next round of EL
*Two out of the ten losers of the 2020–21 UEFA Champions League second qualifying round, determined by draw, will enter the play-off round (Champions Path).

I hope you guys can notice what "Skenderbet project" did to albanian football all those years. Most of albanian presidents preferred to fill their pockets through match fixing. Now the "opportunity" to make easy money is gone and even Hysenbelliu is trying to pass rounds.Simboli i Diellit wrote: Thu Aug 27, 2020 9:53 pm It’s so good for superliga’s mentality having competitive teams in EL qualifiers . Our young players can get confidence and international experience/exposure ... plus there will me more money coming into the league thus investing in football.

Of course , free competition was obviously gonna be better than one team dominating.ZenMaster wrote: Thu Aug 27, 2020 10:04 pmI hope you guys can notice what "Skenderbet project" did to albanian football all those years. A whole decade lost on match-fixing which also killed domestic competitiveness. Hopefully this is not a one-off year.ZenMaster wrote: Thu Aug 27, 2020 10:04 pm I hope you guys can notice what "Skenderbet project" did to albanian football all those years. Well Teuta got 50k winning the cup. 150k for Kallaku’s transfer and they’ll be making 490k in EL now. I guess 690k will be more than their yearly budget. If theypass another round it will be another 300k extra... That’s quite good considering that they haven’t invested anything in buying players nor producing them. Maybe Kukesi will be the only one that might get close to EL groups if they get some reinforcements . I think they’re the only Albanian team almost completed and ready to experience EL groups...

But before Skenderbeu was even a thing Albanian clubs were casually losing 4-0 and 6-0 in Europe.. Skenderbeu is not the reason they always sucked. if anything Skenderbeu helped grow the mentality of these other teams by setting an example.
Now you can see clubs are more professional and serious. It's not only mentality but also better infrastructure and better/modern coaching and tactics.

Well Duka was in power long before Skenderbeu's ascendancy. I think he's been in power for almost 2 decades and the blame should be placed mostly on him rather than Skenderbeu.
