Win vs. Serbia and we're guaranteed 3rd place. I believe we can snatch a draw vs Denmark away but we'll see. The game vs. Serbia will be crucial. We fell apart in the second round of qualifying in the last campaign so I am nervous about the upcoming matches. Two losses vs Denmark and Portugal and we're screwed.Dragoi wrote:De Biasi wants to renew his contract now but Duka says they'll talk in September . Same timing as last qualifiers cycle . Difficult matches coming. Hopefully we will get at least 4 points .

I wouldn't give him a contract now. Or after to be fair. He is getting a bit cocky for my liking and really don't rate him. His handling of some players joining has been poor and also he is a chicken. When we try and play an attacking game we are far better but he would never do that. Yes he has gotten results and overall has done a good job, but I'd swap him with Hasi now.

To be honest I still don't know how much of the "success" so far is down to the quality of the players, and how much is down to DB's tactics.

It would be dumb to replace De Biasi now and risk stability. Fact is that we have a good thing going with him. The players like him and it seems like he has created a great atmosphere in the team where everyone is super motivated to win. He has made mistakes along the way for sure but even in the technical aspect he's getting better and he's not afraid of making changes. Results speak for themselves after all.
As for Hasi... wouldn't touch him with a pole. He has been in Anderlecht for years and hasn't even helped any Albo player to transfer there. Tare is risking 10x more by transferring Albanians in Lazio because he's under immense pressure but he doesn't give a shit. Screw Hasi. He's too busy kissing Mitrovic's ass.

Enough with the lame trolling. The only problem with Hasi I have is I'm not sure he's suited to coach a team like Albania. Haven't seen much reassurance when Anderlecht has played as an underdog.

I would say a great part of the success should be attributed to DB. We don't have much quality in this team but they seem extremely motivated and play as a unit. Surely DB should get some credit for that. I wonder who can we replace DB with honestly. I agree with LedZep on this one.Aurora Bulkualis wrote:To be honest I still don't know how much of the "success" so far is down to the quality of the players, and how much is down to DB's tactics.

Di Biasi has done an immense job this campaign. I know some of you guys want to play attacking football which is nice but he's developed a nice strategy with the team. His tactics of constant pressuring, clogging lanes and quick counter attacking has worked well and we look like a poor Atletico Madrid. You can tell the system is working when you have a bunch of new players in the lineup and the team doesn't miss a beat. It's a team where the sum is much greater than the individual players. Truthfully, he's done well with the given talent and has developed a deeper player pool. Our gameplan is nice because it doesn't require technical players really, we just need the gritty players.
I think he does a good job of scouting teams and creating an okay gameplan for the match but he still needs to fix his in game tactics and substitutions. The Armenia match he did well but the Denmark match his subs were off and he didn't shift anything besides adding another CB. Yesterday, it was a bit odd playing with 3 strikers at one point(cika, balaj, sadiku)
But there's going to be some difficult lineup selections. Who starts in the midfield with the re-emergence of Kace and Basha? Obviously Xhaka-Basha-Kace trio would be ideal. Does Lenjani or Gashi start on the wings?
Our best lineup imo:
--------------Cika
Gashi----------------Roshi
------Kace------Xhaka
------------Basha
Agoli-Mavraj-Cana-Hysaj
-----------Berisha
With Lenjani as a starter for Roshi or as a supersub.

Agreed. Hopefully Mavraj is back from injury for the September games, but it's good to know that we have options.artan wrote:Di Biasi has done an immense job this campaign.
