Why does GDB even bother with Shala?

Honestly I always forget he's in the NT. What's the point? He never plays even in friendlies.

The list is as expected. That's the best we got right now.. Excited to see Mavraj again. This is a defense that is comfortable with the ball on their feet and that's important.

He's not even a fit for GDB system as well as he lacks pace and physical traits. We talk about there not being not enough room for players like Rashica, Meha, Tarashaj, Avdijaj but Shala only has 2 caps despite being called every match for the past two years.

He's literally a wallflower. Atleast Salihi and Bulku where there to talk to the press and be locker room guys which is somewhat useful in a team full of diaspora players who may not be fluent in Albanian.

I'd rather try to snatch Hatergjonaj and replace him with Veseli. We technically don't have a natural backup RB if you don't count Gym and Lila.

Meh, usual call ups. No real surprises. I would have wanted DB to try out some of the more talented guys from our u21 and maybe also call up Avdijaj, but I guess that's not his thing.

Happy Rashica is finally being called up, even though I'd have liked to see him against Austria's full strength squad. Avdijaj is the only player that I'd have liked to be called up that is missing. Although it looks like GDB and the FA are taking a hard line against players who seem hesitant to commit to us outright. Had Avidjaj committed to us a while ago I think he'd have made the Euro squad barring any injuries.

It also looks like players who have strong ties with the FA will always get a call up no matter what. It sucks but it's part of the game.

Only Albanians can be so upset that a Turkish mid-table league player(who btw didn't contribute at all in the qualifiers) is not called up. The abuse De Biasi is getting on social media is hilarious..you'd think Alban Meha is Messi. Albos are such bandwagoners man. I bet 90% of the kids who are crying for Meha have never seen him play or have only seen free kicks of him on youtube. Fck Alban Meha.

Salihi not on the list. Awesome. I hope it stays that way until EUROs.

Meha doesn't fit in DB's system, Ok but Meha was in good form and one of the best free kick taker at the moment he can be used as a joker, i would have take him instead of Shala for example. I mean come on we give chances to Rashica in Luxembourg but we can't afford to give time to Alban Meha who deserves it. I like the squad but Alban Meha should have been choosed

Ok fair enough. You can argue that he deserves to be in more than someone like Shala but still, it's not as big of a deal as it's made out to be. Shala probably wont play a minute and neither would Meha because he doesn't fit the system and style of this team. These Albos are acting like De Biasi left out some sort of savior.. Albania qualified without him ffs.

I definitely would rather see someone like Rashica over Meha. I bet DB feels the same way.
