By far the worst team in Serie A, Salernitana (which is pretty much a top serie B team) would absolutely cake walk through the Hungarian league and you know it. In Croatia it would be up there competing with DZ for the title.

We've had players like Lila, Memushaj, Ujkani, etc... playing in Serie A. These are Hungarian/Croatian league level players.
This also holds true for a lot of players that get promoted with their team from Serie B/Segunda Division/Bundesliga II. These guys are the most overrated.

Ferencvaros are a better team. In fact I'd even say much better.Dallku wrote: Sat Apr 09, 2022 1:32 am By far the worst team in Serie A, Salernitana (which is pretty much a top serie B team) would absolutely cake walk through the Hungarian league and you know it. Salernitana suck and they signed about 10 players this winter window alone because their team was that bad. They play in Serie A whilst Ferenc in Hungarian league and yet their squad 'values' are almost the same, despite this metric notoriously not favouring clubs from low ranked leagues.
Ferencvaros have beat good European teams like DZ, Celtic, Molde, Slavia Prague, CSKA Moscow etc and given great games to Euro giants too. Salernitana only made 16 points so far this year.

Ferencvaros is a good team for the "Rest of Europe" category but I think you underrate just how much stronger the relegation bound teams in the top leagues are than teams in Eastern Europe. The budget, wages and average player quality for a team like Salenitana is probably significantly higher than a team like Ferencvaros. A guy like Frederico Bonazzali would be the best player in Hungary right now. That doesn't mean Ferencavaros can't upset or beat them but put them in the Italian league and they'd be relegated immediately or within a few seasons.RedFootballs wrote: Sat Apr 09, 2022 1:59 amFerencvaros are a better team. A team like Dinamo Zagreb is another story though.

Skenderbeu was beating those teams too with Kristi Vangjeli, Lilaj and Nimaga type players. lol
There is no shot Skenderbeu or Ferencvaros could survive a long season in a top league where every game would feel like a European match for them.
Dinamo Zagreb is different because they produce super talents and their scouting is advanced to sign quality foreigners. But even they would probably get relegated in a top league if we're honest.

Memushaj was arguably Albania's best player in Euro 16 and even he historically was in and out of Serie a. His real level was probably upper Serie B. But for Albania Memushaj was very good.
Ujkani didn't last. He was only given the benefit of the doubt because he was a young gk but he didn't improve. Lila played one season but Lila was a major player for Albania. I don't know why you guys underrate him.

Alban Meha, Gjasula, Abrashi played in Bundesliga. Let's stop this nonsense. Playing 1-2 seasons for a shit team in a top league doesn't mean anything.

And Abrashi is our best ever CM , only injuries stopped him going further .Aurora Bulkualis wrote: Sat Apr 09, 2022 8:41 am Alban Meha, Gjasula, Abrashi played in Bundesliga. Let's stop this nonsense. Playing 1-2 seasons for a shit team in a top league doesn't mean anything.

This entire argument isn’t an argument. Having more players in the professional top leagues can’t be anything but a good thing.
Guys playing for teams like Roma , Atalanta and Southampton was not a thing 15 years ago, heck even 5 years ago. The more of these guys we have the better we will be.
You can’t be on here suggesting more of those guys isn’t a good thing and rooting for Hungarian league guys. It just doesn’t make sense.

All these very decent players in their day. Not sure what point you're making but you're contradicting yourself.Aurora Bulkualis wrote: Sat Apr 09, 2022 8:41 am Alban Meha, Gjasula, Abrashi played in Bundesliga. Let's stop this nonsense. Gjasula and Meha had short primes and didn't last but they earned their short stay there. Meha had one of the most amazing free kick techniques you'll ever see.
Abrashi was ruined by injuries but he was easily Bundesliga level. An excellent destroyer.
