Dobra scored twice against West Brom, but I'm looking at his team and it's not even in 4th Tier football. It's 5th Tier which is not even pro. It's like Albanian 3rd category level.

That entire league has no market values. At least Albanian 2nd division has teams like Skenderbeu, Flamurtari, etc...

Agon Sadiku switched last year from Finland's NT to Kosovo's. Back then he claimed to fully feel Albanian and according to him it was the only right thing to do, which is playing for Kosovo. Kosovo calls him up for two friendlies in November and he played in both those friendlies, didn't impress much and wasn't impressed much with how FFK functions.

Now he's switched back to represent Finland and is going to debut in Finland's next match now in January in a Scandinavian tournament. He can still switch to play for Kosovo as long as he doesn't play in an official match for Finland.

I'm very surprised to know that FIFA recognized friendlies aren't considered official NT matches.

Only official matches count (nations league, euro/WC qualifiers and tournament matches). However, I think he’s only allowed one switch for the senior NT even if he doesn’t appear in an official match so he’s not allowed to trampoline back and fourth.

As for him he’s saving face and is looking for the situation that best gives him playing time. He’ll have a better shot at cracking Finland rather than Kosovo. Guys like these are mercanaries and I can’t really blame them too much since they’re potential are very limited

Brother you couldnt be more wrong. Most of the Div 5 teams in england are now professional. These guys are actually very good. Its great news he's scoring more,shock horror , young players development isnt linear.

West Brom is in the Championship btw, thats better than the Superliga easily.

Eneo Bitri wanted by a Bundesliga team and Skuka wanted by some Serie A Clubs. Would be amazing if they get the move. If it does happen would be huge for the league. Would be 3 players going straight to the Top 5 Leagues within one window, theres talent for sure, they just need to be found. Maybe Sylvinho will help with that too.

The National League, known as the Vanarama National League for sponsorship reasons, is the highest level of the National League System and fifth-highest of the overall English football league system. It is the highest league that is semi-professional in the English football league system.

And yeah obviously West Brom is a good team, that's why it was a notable feat.

You’re quoting wikipedia. I know it’s the last step before league football but the actual teams are now professional. i.e training like a pro team and not just 2/3 days like semi-pros. They’re professional teams.

the fact that it's being discussed whether he's a pro or a literal amateur tells you everything you need to know LOL

It has been a dark time for Albanian players in Europe recently. Nearly all of them are bench players. Asllani came off the bench yesterday and he was horrible. They got dominated by Monza as soon as he came on the pitch.

That’s not even the discussion lmao. But it’s a fact his team (and most the league) is professional. His team plays in a 10k stadium and it was packed, this isn’t sunday league.

And so what if he’s almost 22 , what the f*** does that mean , players develop at different rates and you don’t suddenly stop at 22. And you can clearly see how much he’s improved recently, we don’t need him to be playing for chelsea or inter but imagine he develops into a decent championship player, that’s what we need more of.

^ There is a process. You don't magically jump so many divisions at once unless you're a youth player getting promoted to the first team which he's not. 5th division to 2nd division is a different universe. A 22 year old should be at his physical peak, especially as a winger.

Even Anis Mehmeti who's at a much higher level than Dobra (3rd division) and dominates it is probably not even good enough for the Championship and higher levels.

Dobra is closer to being out of football than moving forward. It's unknown if he can even play in the Albania league. His level is that low.
