This guy's dribbling highlights are crazy. He's exactly what we need. Someone to take on defenders and pass the ball to Broja.

But two issues:

(1) Sylvinho likely won't call him up
(2) He'll likely refuse regardless

No excuse not to offer Gruda a spot with 26 man list.

Gruda finished the season strong and that's not good for Albania. The better these potential players do at their clubs the worse their chances of choosing Albania are.

German-Albos are also an interesting species. They all think they can play for Germany and usually give up when they are 26+

Lol, Albania even with qualifying for the Euros isn't attractive enough for these diaspora talents. FSHF is to arrogant, give Cana, Mavraj & co jobs and get them to try and recruit these players.

With the way he's been playing and at his age you can expect Gruda to actually be a German NT player. He has to be one of their most talented under 21 players. He's not switching and Albania is already too late if they think they can convince him now. Should have done so last year in the beginning of September when he was making appearances for his club. If Albania didn't attempt to poach him then it's on them.

He's different than guys like Rexhbecaj who realistically didn't have a big chance for Germany. Maybe a guy like Rexhbecaj just don't care enough about international play to play for Albania/Kosovo and would rather have some free time.

Wiki says his dad was a Vllaznia player. I'd say that increases the chances a little bit more, as his father probably still has strong ties to Albanian football.

And his uncle was our u-19 national team coach. But at the end of the day if Germany is interested in him there’s a 95% chance he’s not playing for us. Germany has went full mercenary as well so they will feature him if he’s good enough unlike other countries like Italy which we can poach diaspora since they are still more about keeping their national team Italian

It’s a lesson on why diaspora players need to be poached early. Was it really worth it to have guys like cikaleshi trot around for years and being useless?

The Jürgen Gjasula syndrome. The crazy part was that that mofo was born in Tirana.

It means nothing. Even Rudi Vata's son is not playing for us.
