Uzuini is a goal poacher and someone who needs easy chances but atleast he has other aspects to his game like pace, pressing, making runs and some creativity. Guys like vrioni and such were one dimensional below average goal poachers with no pace or anything.

Uzuni is ok is some aspects. He has also been mistreated by Sylvinho in all fairness.

but....

you are competing against teams like Serbia to qualify to the world cup. It's hard to compete against them when your starting striker is a 2nd division player while theirs is a Juventus starter who's wanted by Arsenal. The difference is comedy you put it that way. The differences in midfield/defense are much smaller.

Broja is Albania's only hope in attack. He's the only one with any sort of potential to compete with dignity against the likes of Vlahovic. He just has to start establishing himself again like he did at Southampton.

A 30 year old 2nd division striker is not going to do miracles.

Vlahovic actually came off the bench for most of Serbia’s games in the last qualifiers..

Weird how they would start some random Saudi leaguer over a top league super professional..

I thought only Albania did that..

My only problem with Uzuni was his terrible finishing. He wasted sitter after sitter for us. That is why he hasn't scored against any teams of note in official games except San Marino and the likes.

I don't care how many goals you score in the 2nd division, if the only teams you score for us are bartenders.

Same random Saudi leaguer with 129 appearances, 38 goals and 11 assists in the premier league?

I guess CR7 must be a random too...

Makes sense that they value his experience just like Albania did with Bogdani.

If Albania had a veteran with tons of top league experience like a Bogdani or a Tare nobody would care if Broja sat on the bench until those experienced vets decide to call it quits but right now you are not in that kind of position.

It's either Broja or strikers from 2nd divisions, Sparta Prague's reserve of the reserve, attackers from so called "SK Bodrum" and sivasspor. Players who are closer to retirement than moving to better teams.

Asllani with a great performance and an even better goal:

The only thinks he lacks is the defensive aspect, he should play more like an 8 than an 6.

Medon Berisha expected to start tomorrow. I'll give the FSHF credit where it's due but they've definitely done a better job at scouting youth players over the years. They really poached some quality diaspora players into the youth setup over the years. 10-15 years ago it seemed like they only were able to get the left over diaspora talent like Fidan Aliti

Who in the midfield potentially gets dropped for Berisha in the NT? Ramadani? I'm not sure Berisha can play in the advanced role yet

Medon is an 8/box to box. He can easily take Laci's or Ramadani's spot.

There is no point in Ramadani. He does nothing. This season he has gotten lazy too. A player that inferior technically can't afford to be lazy. I see him losing his spot at Lecce and hopefully in the NT too.
Redijupison

Tbh, players like Ramadani are very useful, but if there's a young and talented midfielder like Medon Berisha benching him, that is very good news for Albania.

Ramadani has dropped off in form this year but whatever happens..

He proved you all wrong!

Went from Kosovan league to bonafide starter in Serie A where he topped all the defensive categories in his first season there.

One of the best players who qualified Albania for 2nd tourney ever. Assisted in qualifiers in huge wins against Poland and Czechia.

Our entire game changed when he took Bare spot in midfield! When he was playing well, our team looked another level!

I don’t know if his time is coming to an end but..

He goes down as a legend of the NT!
