In my opinion, Broja should wait until he is fully healthy before trying to return. He been trying to play thru nagging injuries and it just made things worse.

No need to rush it this time..
He's been back for most of the year and has barely played.

I think this put the final nail in the coffin for his top flight career. He's just missed way too much of his prime years for a player who relies on speed.
What’s with the absolutes around here. Nail in the coffin like it’s guaranteed, chill out , he’ll definitely still be in a top league.
It's his 4th major injury, in what, 2 years?

It's unfortunate because he could've been the Albanian Sesko/Gyokeres. He had that kind of talent and potential.

Yes and its horrible but it wont signal the end. I said a few posts ago a perfect example is Embolo, could've been so much greater and had worse injuries than Broja but still made a good career. Its definitely not over.

Yup, the way he started and with his physical profile he could've been one of the worlds best. Just one bad challenge in a stupid friendly because of a winter world cup and everything changed. Life. He will probably still end up being a decent player but not near the heights I thought he could be. And for Albania that will still probably be the best ST we've ever had.

I think world's best is really pushing it, he was always a very raw player and his pre-injury self wasn't at world-class talent level.

He may have developed into a 15 goal type Premier League striker.

Yet still its unclear whether the last few years are down to him or down to his ACL injury.

How is this Gyokeres dude worth 75mil€ on transfermarkt???

26 year old and only ever done well in the 2nd tier leagues.

38 goals thru 2 seasons in Championship??

I know guys who did 40+ in 1 season never break 30mil€…

That shows that it's not all about stats. The game of some players who have insane stats in lower divisions don't translate in higher divisions. Others with worse stats do...

These top 3 Portuguese teams are amazing at detecting world class potential. Sporting invested 24 million in Gyokeres and they are about to sell him for 100+ million.

I still believe Broja had world class potential pre ACL. Sure he was raw but some of the things he was doing on that pitch like taking the ball from one penalty box to the other in a sprint while taking on 3-4 players is unicorn level stuff! We forget because we didn't see any of it post injury.

The last time Broja played a meaningful season was 20/21. I can't recall another player who missed or haven't played in 4 full seasons have a meaningful career after. I liked Broja but history is not on his side. He's done being a player in a top league and it's probably for the best. Best for him to try and reinvent himself in some random league.

Maybe he can be like Roshi and be a joke club wise but a demon for the National Team. I'll take that.

Super game by Muci against Bilbao. Involved in 2 goals and did great attacking and defending.

Big game player!

This game is from the other day but he is so talented, I've always thought he was destined for the top and being born in Albania stunted his development by years, imagine watching this and going "nah lemme start Seferi". Has to start vs England, only way we will beat them is through great team defending and quality moments by individuals, and he certainly has star moments in him.
