The Armenia game we could have easily scored a few more.. Could have been 4-1 imo

Those Agolli crosses in the first half were world class.

After solid performance against Armenia i am afraid that he cemented his place and that's very bad news. It is true that he made 7 crosses but he was facing amateur defender as Hambardzumyan (Vardar player) and Manucharyan(who doesn't give a **** about defense). I don't have nothing against Agolli but albanian media hyped so much his performance and we should not forget that he is just a mediocre player with good crosses. Against Portugal,Denmark, Serbia (until game was interrupted), France,Italy was suffering so much defensively and we was extremely unlucky that we wasn't punished.

Granted he had alot of space to operate and the Armenian backline were amateurs but those crosses where something else. The way he was making them curl and whipping them in at such pace. I'm not sure who the crosser was when Xhaka and Abrashi both missed their point blank headers but I guess it was him.

Truthfully, we don't give Agolli the credit he deserves probably because he plays in Azerbaijan. We(myself included) have been quick to bash him in the past for mistakes and he doesn't make any more mistakes than any of the other starters. I don't think he's a bad defender because he's very pesky, aggressive and a good tackler. In our system it seems he will get defensive coverage even if he overlaps offensively and his lack of pace won't be that big of an issue. He hasn't been beat more than Hysaj(for example) this qualification campaign and I thought he had a good game against Portugal defensively and I don't remember his performance vs denmark tbh.

I think all the goals we've given up this campaign were off turnovers or poor clearances. The denmark game I think berisha cleared the ball out to the denmark player who was near goal and had the momentum to score. For the Armenian goal I think it was something similar where Abrashi(was it him) passed the ball to Mhkyrtan and no one decided to tackle him.

Yep. If the guy played in Serie A/EPL/Bundesliga, he would get praised like crazy.

Yea and i'm sure professional defenders would never allow him that much time or space to whip the ball in cross after cross. But I still give credit to Agoli because he pressed the issue after the early goal and he was attacking like there was 5 minutes left in the match like we needed an equalizer.
