If you watched his game vs Liverpool, you'd be easily able to tell the potential. He is still only 20, and he was easily gliding past defenders. He also showed far more confidence than previously, which means he's starting to get comfortable. I think he has a big future, and I would not be surprised if he started for Germany. He also can play centrally, not just on the wing. I see him more of a Wirtz//Musiala replacement rather than Sane/Gnabry.

Gruda is still so young that you still don't know his potential. He still has another season or so before we can truly evaluate him as a player. Would anyone be surprised if he becomes an important player for Brighton next season and breaks out? If he was 23-24 I would agree but he's only about to turn 21.

Germany has always called up and played random average players. Not saying Gruda is average because 20 year old valued at 30 million is no joke but playing for Germany is not that crazy. This is why so many German-Albos have hopes of playing for them no matter their level. From Jurgen Gjasula, to Mavraj and even that shitty Ajax goalkeeper right now. They know that they have a slight chance because Germany's callups are not as exclusive.

But even if he never starts for them he won't care. He'll be happy being their waterboy if he has to.

I’d move this summer if I was him, probably made some good money now it’s time to return to a top 5 league. He’s got the quality for sure, let’s hope he doesn’t waste more time over there. Some others been returning to europe too after making some money.
