It's very nice to see improvements taking place in Albania. To think that just five years ago the whole sport was in a terrible state over there!

Just hoping that fshf will put good investments into youth training facilities too.

That's why I like Partizani's project. It's much more of an emphasis on building a quality training facility/academy and less on building a big stadium that isn't needed. It seems like most of the projects for youth development are being built through private investment and not the actual teams itself. I don't know much about the youth academies of the Superliga teams and if there's any projects on going but I'm sure it's non-existent.

As for the stadiums it has improved tremendously. Too bad Elbasan Arena's stadium is going to waste with the local team about to be relegated to the third division. Elbasan Arena, Selman Stermasi and Loro Borici all renovated within a span of two years. Some other small rennovations happened in Fier, Vlora and Kukesi. Maybe we see more investment in the stadium in Vlore. Korca doesn't have the demand for a stadium renovation despite all their success.

Partizani's project looks very neat and smartly planned if it is real, like Plako said. And it totally meets an Albo clubs demands. Imo no Albo club can fill a 5000+ arena.

And I doubt the Elbasan arena was built for the local team to use it at first. I think it was the easiest to get renovated with the least costs because of Qemal Stafa not meeting the UEFA requirements. The good thing though, it won't go to waste even when Loro Borici gets done cause of the running track.

The FA should institute a rule where only teams that meet certain stadia requirements should militate in the first division. No need for the like of Bylis to play in Superliga whereas Apollonia, with its renovated stadium, plays in the second division.

The idea is good in general schemes of things. However, it would be nice if the FA introduced a set of standards/rules for stadiums, if these are not met by the home team, then they will have to play at the away/neutral stadium that meets the set criteria. This will force a lot of teams to work on their own stadiums, instead of say; renting one that is in the next city, where travel and rent costs will surpass the anual budget. This is a fair way of going about it, atleast I think so.

They do have some set of standards. For example, Pukes had to do some renovations on their potato field before the start of this season.

I don't get why FSHF doesn't work with these teams and give them a small grant. Like for every dollar the team puts into renovations(up to $200k) the FSHF will match dollar to dollar. A $300-400k renovation on a existing stadium that has a capacity of 6-10k can get a good face lift for that amount of money.

Ok fair enough that makes more sense. I just cringe when I see the stadia in Lac, Ballsh, Peqin etc where it seems like time stood still and they're still playing in the decrepit stadia that the commies built.

Loro Boriçi will take another two months to be ready. It took 8 months more than they thought to finish it. It's costs were around 15 million €
