The Albanian media has been extremely vocal about the corruption of oil production by foreign companies in Patos-Marinza field. I remember an old man roaming the streets of Tirana back in the early 90's. Same exact situation. Unfortunately this is what happens in a "free" society. The government is not there to take care of the people anymore. The communists, despite all their faults, at least pretended to give a shit about people. This would have been unacceptable back in the day.
