As in, we're always saying on this forum our defense is amazing on paper. but we never get the endproductPrinc wrote: Mon Sep 07, 2020 11:09 pmDefense always fire.. On what planet?
We have 2 goals v Andorra and a loss to Lithuania to show for 2 of our last 3 home games. To me it looks like the furthest thing away from fire.
Defense cannot be fire when the midfielders are a bunch of bin men.

I don't understand how all our good players ended up at CB: Kumbulla, Djimsiti, Dermaku, Ismajli, and now Mihaj, Veseli.
I feel like it'll be hard to switch out of back 3...

Stick Ismajli fullback in a 4-5-1 and problem solved.Aurora Bulkualis wrote: Mon Sep 07, 2020 11:11 pm I don't understand how all our good players ended up at CB: Kumbulla, Djimsiti, Dermaku, Ismajli, and now Mihaj, Veseli.

Honestly it's probably no coincidence, many Albanians learn the Italian style of play and we seem to be physically suited to itAurora Bulkualis wrote: Mon Sep 07, 2020 11:11 pm I don't understand how all our good players ended up at CB: Kumbulla, Djimsiti, Dermaku, Ismajli, and now Mihaj, Veseli.

So old fashioned it’s unbelievable
I didn't even know he could play RB. That might be the entire solution to our problems. Just let Hysaj go up and down on the left.Princ wrote: Mon Sep 07, 2020 11:12 pmStick Ismajli fullback in a 4-5-1 and problem solved.Aurora Bulkualis wrote: Mon Sep 07, 2020 11:11 pm I don't understand how all our good players ended up at CB: Kumbulla, Djimsiti, Dermaku, Ismajli, and now Mihaj, Veseli.

Don't think Ismajli is good enough on the ball or fast enough to be a fullback. You can't just stick a CB at fullback. It's a very important position. Even Trashi(as awful as he is) has the basic attributes to be a rb.

Andi Lila didn’t have any of those traits either and he was our fullback of choice before the era of Hysaj. Teams play CBs at fullback all the time and with Ismajli’s height and defensive ability, we don’t lose anything by playing him there. I’ll take him over Trashi any day of the week.Dallku wrote: Mon Sep 07, 2020 11:48 pm Don't think Ismajli is good enough on the ball or fast enough to be a fullback.
