Andi Lila didn’t have any of those traits either and he was our fullback of choice before the era of Hysaj. Teams play CBs at fullback all the time and with Ismajli’s height and defensive ability, we don’t lose anything by playing him there. I’ll take him over Trashi any day of the week.

When Lila played RB he used to bomb forward all the time. Sure he wasn't technically gifted but he had a fullback's mindset of helping both defense and offense. If your fullback is strictly a defender then you become predictable and make life easier for your opponent.

Nowadays everyone including Albania play from the back too. Fullbacks are important in combining defense-midfield and creating plays.

We actually really miss Agolli as sad as that is.

We need Bushi. He was highest scorer in our NT before Bogu surpassed him. He will prioritize offence, as seen by that Austria game. We got the personnel in defence. We don't need more 3-5-whatever defensive schemes.

What we need is goals. These Italian coaches are killing us. They have no idea how to put together a proper attack. Not scoring against France is excusable, but choking against Andorra and Lithuania is unacceptable.

That’s absolutely correct , he knows the next generation very well and clearly is doing well with them . Doesn’t hold them back by playing stupid formations

If we're gonna try playing with 3 in the back we'll need to play a 3-4-3. It's clear our wingbacks can't provide much width or creativity on the flanks. We don't have the technical ability to play a possessive style of play which just forces us to do long balls to our strikers. Our offense is so stagnant and there's no fluidity or balance what so ever. It's so bad watching them. Atleast with GDB the team was able to pull of quick counters and had pace in the lineup. Watching Albania under Reja and we need miracles to score goals.

--------Unuzi--Broja-Roshi
Hysaj-Gjasula-Abrashi(Bare)-Balliu
-----Gym--Kumbulla--Ismajli
-----------Strakosha

We literally got schooled by a superliga team tonight and it will all be for nothing if Reja doesn’t get fired. The players aren’t happy and a change needs to happen, if for no other reason than to simply increase morale.

De Biasi did his job increasing professionalism and scouting, and I think that somewhat indirectly affected even the Superliga getting better.

But we don't need foreigners anymore. This is not 2008. There are plenty of Albanian coaches that are just as good as foreign coaches, and they have a massive advantage of knowing the players well. I'm not kidding when I say I'd take Bulku over Reja. Let the former NT boys have a run for once. End this "Foreigner = Better" fetish once and for all.

What surprises me more is the fact that bar Hafizi and Shehu noone else from the NT “old guard” has said anything about how bad Reja is. I would understand those who work for FSHF but Lala, Vata, Hasi and other should raise their voice ...

They probably give him the benefit of the doubt because of his resume. Reja is the most professional coach we ever had on paper. Sadly he's just too old and expired...

One thing Reja is right about is that the 3 CB lineup is actually the meta in football nowadays. A lot of teams use it... but he refuses to acknowledge that we don't have the players for it. The wingbacks are the most important in this formation.. we don't have any. Hysaj (who could be) is a traditional fullback and not dynamic enough offensively.

Bushi would be a great choice imo but there is no doubt he would get scrutinized and crucified very quickly since he's close to Duka.

Duka doesn't give a shit what anyone has to say. Even if Reja will be sacked tomorrow there is no guarantees that Duka will replace him with better coach.Albania needs just one thing asap "GET RID OF ARMANDO DUKA" by all costs. When i say by all costs i mean, take actions both in Albania and abroad to forfeit matches until his departure becomes inevitable.
