Brasil might get an upset this time. Croatia has other players in their youth ranks that will replace Modric. Their U21 is worth like our A team.

There won't be another like Modric. Obviously they'll still produce a bunch of solid players, similar to Serbia but what are the chances their future players are the best in the world at their positions? It won't happen.

Their youth values are also inflated because players like Modric paved the way so Croatians youngsters who do well are considered great by default.

Croatia's entire gameplan is essentially just "pass it to Modric", and it DOES work, because he can delegate it very well.

He reminds me a lot of Xavi and Spain. Once Xavi declined Spain was never the same.

Croatia's youth development is already on the decline. With the exception of that defender they haven't produced any stars just solid players. Their current core is aging as well and they will need to replace Perisic who was an absolute beast for them for years. They do benefit of having a strong diaspora and will be able to poach a legit diaspora talent like Sucic here and there.

Still Croatia’s decline will lower them to Denmark/Poland level but they will not become a third Pot team after Modric leaves. They’ll still qualify for WC and Euros.

Morroco are such a well drilled team, had the better chances here. Shows the value of a good coach. Imagine my surprise the coach is Morrocan !

I dont know about the WC you know, losing Perisic, Mordric and Brozovic is massive, they dont have direct replacements for those 3.

Definitely going to be a different team, seem to have more talent in defence now lead by Gvardiol.
