With memories of the golden years (80's) of the albanian football still fresh on her mind, Albania is now attempting to recreate its strong football legacy. As young players start making their names abroad, the future is looking bright for Albanian football!

Time to address the elephant in the room..
New generation of top league players struggles mentally just as the Salihi era did. Two blown leads in a row, the worst of which at home in front of our own fans, in a game we were favoured to win.
Additionally, the federation failed to book a friendly that would have prepared us better for what was to come. Upcoming match v. Estonia is pointless..
True
Its a collective problem all together.
At the end of the day 20 year olds are our best players and that shouldn't be the case either way. There is only so much they are capable of.
Kumbulla, Asllani, Broja should be playing for the u21.
They are good enough to play for the senior team but unfortunately they are not ready yet to carry it. That requires tremendous responsibility and experience.

Yes, Broja should dribble 6 people in front of him whenever they kick a long ball to him every 30 mins. If he doesn't he's not ready for the senior team.
These are B level players, not A level. But Israel is a C level team. There are no excuses here other than shit formations/tactics.
"Cheap things you can buy in bulk, but Bulku is priceless" Ervin Xhevahir Bulku
They may lack some responsibility and experience but they still have the potential to do much better than this. I just want to see them under a coach that actually gives 2 fucks and is not senile. However with Duka the cancer it's not going to happen and that's the elephant in the room. It's clear that the old man should've left as soon as the WC qualifiers ended, new proper coach should've been appointed immidiately (not another random Italian bum) and thus given plenty of time to prepare especially with the March friendlies. This could've been the opportunity of a lifetime for Albania and they're fucking screwing it. The 1st spot could secure us League A football against the best teams in the continent, assure us a Euro play-off spot, and assure as Pot 2 for the actual qualifiers. Yes, Pot 2, imagine how comfortable we would be. It's just 4 fucking matches against 2 mediocre teams. Of course, there are limits to everything and we can't fly with presh n byth all the time, but come on, can't even get a draw against Israel at home? We even managed to beat them in 2019 when we were getting raped by Scotland on a monthly basis.
For once he put the strongest lineup out there and they could only show a few glimpses here and there but for the most part they didn't deliver. Bajrami especially can do better. Mentally they looked overwhelmed.
Blaming the young guys for the loss is retarded. They were playing the best football we played in a long time and Reja didn't let them have a chance to fight to get the victory. Instead he inserted Ramadani and Gjasula and decided to play it safe. Inserting Ramadani and Gjasula is practically suicide from a tactical standpoint. I personally thought they looked good in the first half and having counter attacking and pace in the lineup was a breath of fresh air. They need some chemistry together but it is to be expected with lack of game time between the players. The selfishness of some of the guys was bad and that needs to be addressed.
The second half was atrocious and we can't expect our defense to be competent. They are not good and they have lapses of judgements. Catering this team around a 3 man backline is stupid and it's even more bizzare when Hysaj is just an awful wingback.
The substitutions was bizarre and only Albania does these weird lineup solutions. What world is having three traditional forwards (Broja, Balaj and Vrioni) with three defensive midfielders (Gjasula, Abrashi and Ramadani) along with the anti footballer Hysaj practical? Reja literally thinks playing rugby is a tactic. He was itching to put the goons in when the game was tied. This shit doesn't even work in video games.
I thought Abrashi was MOTM. He's an absolute horse and it's hilarious how he was carrying us offensively at the end of the match. Hysaj is an anti-footballer. Gym is overrated. Broja is a stud. Uzuini is a headless chicken but atleast he creates chances and brings elements offensively that the anti-footballers Cikaleshi and Balaj can't bring. Ramadani and Balaj are a crime to football. Gjasula is just a liability. bajrami has talent but is selfish. Asllani is looking like a holding midfielder. Berisha is scared as always.
I knew Albania was fucked when they were barely favorites for this game but I didn't want to say anything. They were only .25 favorites when they should've been AT LEAST .5 favorites. That gave it away right there.

Why are you obsessed with betting lines ? Is this an American thing or what.
But you can’t blame them when Reja doesn’t put them in positions to succeed. Playing Bajrami out of position in a role where he has to cover so much wasted space when we just play long balls to Broja so he can run by 6 guys. It’s the system, no one can look good for 90 mins like that.
