What are you talking about? The Armenian fans brought in offensive pro-serb banners. So I said its wrong for them to bring that considering how we also have a history of genocide commited by the serbs. Also, It was a dick move to bring a Turkish flag and show it to those fans as we know what it feels like to be discriminated against by other countries.Funky Ben wrote:lol sensitive issue for them?Genti wrote:
Armenians are generally cool people, and it was wrong to have a Turkish flag there because of the whole genocide thing, it's a very sensitive issue for them. However, bringing any Kosovo banners or pro-serb signs is not acceptable considering they wanted to commit genocide against us.
You must have forgotten what your nationality was. Last i checked, the Turks fucked us over for 500 years as well. You make it sound like the Armenians were the only ones.
Plus what about their Kosovo banners? Serbs commited genocide to us too.
f*** Armenia.

Honestly, I'm getting sick and tired of these idiots that support Turks because of their religion. I suggest these morons go read what happened in Albanian lands in the 1800s where they massacred hundreds of Albanian beys in cold blood, and slaughtered thousands of other Albanians, before acting like bigots.
The only alliances Albania should have are with Western countries.

Waving the flag of a country that is (1) not your own and (2) not participating in the match, is itself tasteless. Add to that the fact that Turkey had taken us over for 500 years and committed numerous atrocities. Add to that the fact that it is a very sore subject with the Armenians and this month is some kind of anniversary of the genocide. And finally, add all the classless booing and whistles when the national anthem of the opposing country is played... That is all very despicable and I know this will get me nowhere with some on this board. There are so many ways to show national pride without being complete dicks.

I dont recall there being any booing of their national anthem. As far as i can tell they were treated fine up until the flag incident. Seemed like they were allowed to show their banners etc. We didn't throw objects as far as i know, or abuse their players anymore than a typical away team would. I'm willing to bet the person who brought the Turkish flag brought it to troll knowing it would eat at the Armenians. It was not classy sure, but i kind of don't gave a f*** given that we have seen they have a special "connection" to serbs. And if they had some type kosova banner at this game or another, then they especially go f*** themselves.

They don't recognize kosova either I'm pretty sure. Who cares every fan group in Albania gets treated with respect. One guy brought a Turkish flag. That was one guy and one incident. The other thousands in attendance didn't do nothing. And say what u want but I guarantee with or without this incident you are gonna see plenty pro Serbia banners in their stadium. It's that gay ass orthodox brotherhood.

Which honestly pisses me off even more because the only reason they even share that religion is because Turkey raped it into our culture. Like don't get me wrong I have no problem with Muslim Albanians I think they're fine people but when I see that the muslim population has dropped in Albania in the last consensus I can't help but feel happy. I'm not even advocating for any other religion either in my mind there's nothing wrong with Albania being a Muslim, Christian and Atheist country all at the same time. In fact I would be even prouder if it were like that. But the majority of us should NOT follow Islam. It's the religion of our oppressors. I just never understood how the same people who love Skenderbeu can in the same sentence praise Allah. Never made sense to me even when I was little.

This. ONE FAN who got tackled by the police immediately. The Armenian fans were idiots for rattling the side bars of their stands like apes because they saw a Turkish flag. Just one troll, who gives a f***? Not representative of the population and most Albanians don't care about Armenia nor Turkey.
And again why is Armenia bringing a big "1915 Genocide" banner in Albania of all places?
Please, Albanians don't care about Turks. Stop assuming there's some sort of brotherhood between Muslim Albanians and Turks because I know that's what you're thinking. For every Albanian that likes Turkey there's an Albanian that think they're the devil.Honestly, I'm getting sick and tired of these idiots that support Turks because of their religion. As for Western Europe the same countries that split Albania up and denied us of a homeland for centuries? The same ones that call us gypsies, arabs, turks, etc?
