Thinking you have a better chance to win with Doka and Ramadani over Top 4 league players. is some of the most clown shit you've said and you say a lot of shit.Princ wrote: Fri Dec 17, 2021 10:29 pmThe super professional Hysaj has not had a good game in years, competition ranging from Lithuania to England.Dallku wrote: Fri Dec 17, 2021 10:11 pm Players like Hysaj and Bare might make a mistake or two against high level teams like Poland but that's normal. Even Sergio Ramos has made countless of blunders against Barcelona. But that didn't make him any less world class.
But their dominance and talent is not questioned when playing against Andorra, San Marino, and even Israel, Iceland..
That's the difference between them and players like Ramadani who get overwhelmed by teams like Andorra. That's because that's their true level. There are levels.
In this group only Russia can seriously challenge players like Hysaj, Bare, Djimsiti, Kumbulla and Broja. Anyone else can challenge the low level tier you mentioned as "depth".
Ramadani was the best player on the pitch against top 30 ranked Poland in front of 22k Albanians. This brings me to my next point about knowing your own strengths and weaknesses..
Playing girls like Bare, Bajrami, etc. and trying to hold possession might work on lower ranked teams, but will backfire when faced with real competition.
The correct strategy in this case is to park the bus, with taller and more physical players such as Laci, Ramadani, and Doka. There is time and place for all of these guys to fit in, but the coach must be aware of the correct game plan needed for each different opponent.
De Biasi was a master at this, Reja not so much.

And since when are Laci and Doka tall and physical? These are all skinny midgets and physicality is their biggest issue. They are no bigger or stronger than Keidi.

Did they recently change the scoring criteria so that the team with most top 4 league players wins?CanaYouDoIt wrote: Sat Dec 18, 2021 2:37 am Thinking you have a better chance to win with Doka and Ramadani over Top 4 league players. is some of the most clown shit you've said and you say a lot of shit.
De Biasi conceded only 2 goals in 4 matches to the top 2 seeds in 2014-15, and took 5 points off them with 0 top 4 league players starting ahead of the backline. Reja, with his top 4 leaguers like Bare and Bajrami, took 0 points and conceded 12 goals!

Laci listed at 1.80m
Ramadani listed at 1.85m
Doka listed at 1.81m
The bottom three are longer and stronger.

Ramadani plays for a relegation bound Hungarian team
Doka is a spot starter for a mid table Croatian team
Laci is a mid table French second division player
Who cares about height when they’re amateurs

De Biasi took us to EURO 2016 and pulled off big upsets with a bunch of Swiss leaguers, Croatian leaguers and a Greek leaguer.artan wrote: Sat Dec 18, 2021 8:25 pm Ramadani plays for a relegation bound Hungarian team

Old Reja stinks up the joint with a bunch of super professionals.

So that's more of a reflection against Reja rather than a reflection of the players.Princ wrote: Sat Dec 18, 2021 8:35 pmDe Biasi took us to EURO 2016 and pulled off big upsets with a bunch of Swiss leaguers, Croatian leaguers and a Greek leaguer.artan wrote: Sat Dec 18, 2021 8:25 pm Ramadani plays for a relegation bound Hungarian team

You can't seriously think playing guys from Hungary and Croatia is better than playing guys who play the likes of Real or have played CL/EL football for years.

The old man is the one feilding all these super professionals who have dug their roots into the NT and make one mistake after another with impunity.
Albania concedes too many goals when faced with real competition. The answer is to stop playing the “beautiful game” and get more defensive. This can be most efficiently achieved using taller and more physical players.

Whilst I don't agree with Princ often, he is right that the concept of meritocracy that we all support has been lost because we are enchanted with 'top4 league players'.Princ wrote: Sat Dec 18, 2021 9:15 pmAbsolutely a reflection against Reja!CanaYouDoIt wrote: Sat Dec 18, 2021 9:00 pm So that's more of a reflection against Reja rather than a reflection of the players.

Yes, it is better usually, they are more professional, but take Bajrami. In basically all of his minutes he has been invisible and when Laci and Ramadani got the chance to play they did great. What do you do as a coach in light of that?
Veseli has played a lot of minutes on Serie A as well in his career and got some starts for Salernitana recently, doesn't mean he should start or even be near the NT.

Why do people say that Ramadani played well against Poland? Albania couldn't string 3 passes in that game and the anchor -- player who sits in front of the backline and is supposed to calm the team down and be smart is mostly responsible for that. The standards for Ramadani are so low that he probably completed a 5 yard pass and people were impressed.
What made De Biasi's team was the anchor and that was Kukeli. That composure, safe passing and intelligence in front of the back 4 was crucial. Gjasula was decent at it for a while but he regressed as expected.
