Our team and federation loves to feel sorry for them elves. They love to soak in their own misery. Love to claim how good they have played but how unlucky they were.

Anytime our squad is faced with some sort of pressure they crack in the face of adversity. This team has peaked since last June's friendly vs France which was a meaningless friendly that boosted our players ego. When the pressure isn't on our team will play fine and will shock many teams like we've done in the past but any sort of pressure and they crack. All of the Switzerland matches in the recent years. the Portugal & Serbia game in Elbasan, the Iceland/Slovenia matches in WCQ in September 2013,etc, are examples of our team cracking when it mattered the most. The only games where our team rose to the occasion was against Armenia in both matches.

But that being said we are making progress. It was a tough feat for our players and team when we've never been in an international competition. This may be great experience for some of the younger guys moving forward to try and take the NT higher.

But please don't give up some last minute goal against Romania and start crying.

Not like the other DMs are any better than Cana at DM...That's where he was at his best. He's too crazy to be a CB.

Cana as a DM was a disaster when he was younger, nevermind now that he can't run anymore and has no energy left. Guy has busted knees and a DM requires a hell of a work ethic, discipline and concentration. This was the main reason he was converted into a fulltime CB. The opponents would jog past him at this point.

Cana was easily one of the most overrated DM's I've ever seen. Guy was straight up awful after the age of 24-25. In his early 20's he was an absolute beast because his work ethic was something else. He never had any technical ability but when he was younger he was an athletic force of nature, like a bigger and stronger Abrashi basically. Then suddenly his energy and work ethic dropped in a way I can't explain which made him totally useless. Dechamps saw it and he got rid of him quickly.. The rest is history.

In the NT I believe Haan(?) was the first to convert Cana into a CB and Bulku played in his place in midfield.. and let me tell you, NOBODY had a problem with it. This may sound like blasphemy but Bulku was a better DM than Cana.

Well actually I have a theory.

When Cana went to Sunderland he had a medical there and a strong rumor(in the Sunderland sites/forums) around that time was that Cana had busted knees but didn't want to have surgery. He could still play(and he did) but obviously not nearly as hard as in his years at PSG and first few years at Marseille. I seriously believe that in his early 20's Cana fvcked up his knees and if you saw how reckless and crazy he played you could understand it. In his last year at Marseille he was a shadow of himself although he lived on his "captain of Marseille" reputation.

I'm not holding any hope so not entertaining the idea of a progress. Actually dreading the Romania game as we will lose even our usual " moral victories" as there will be no more excuses. But I'm thinking honestly here and treat this tournament like I should. Just enjoy being here as we shouldn't really on football merit. A win against a shocked and poor Portugal and a pathetic 10 men or unmotivated Armenia don't make you a good team overnight. Yes we have made progress but mostly in image and hopefully this will stop the rejection malarkey. We had the greatest trolling in football at Serbia and we qualified from it too, so this should be remembered for that.
Cana has to play as his last game can't be the fvck up one. Although he is more than capable of a repeat. But he is our legend and leader and no one dare say otherwise. We've enjoyed ourselves and showed Europe how to support too. That's what is all about. Much better teams in this tournament are performing worse than us. But we deserve nothing and are getting nothing. DB has to go after this please as I can't stand this football.

Qualification is very likely with a win. Get behind the team.

Whoever saw Romania's matches against Switzerland and France understand that Albania is stronger than Romania.
Of course not always the strongest team wins, but for God's sake cut this defeatist autocommiserational crap.

Kace needs to play from the start in this one to get a nice offensive tempo going early. I think Gashi needs to start with Roshi coming on in the second half since we need his pace against those Romanian defenders. Sadiku or Cika.. I'm not sure since Sadiku gave his all in these matches and he's desperate to score, you can even see it on his face.

I think Romania is just slightly better but I was shocked to see the odds for this game. Oddsmakers made Romania a clear favorite for this game.. wtf?? That's not a good sign at all.
