With memories of the golden years (80's) of the albanian football still fresh on her mind, Albania is now attempting to recreate its strong football legacy. As young players start making their names abroad, the future is looking bright for Albanian football!

All of the money will be placed on a bet on Skenderbeu conceding at least 5 goals this Thursday.

I understand what Skenderbeu is doing. Berisha's value is at its peak right now and they'll run the risk of him leaving for free in the future. Olayinka they should probably hold on a bit but he's a mercenary and would leave if there's a better offer regardless. If they can get around half a million for Berisha and near a million for Olayinka I think that'd be a good payout.
At the end of the day it's what they do with the money they earned. That money can go a long way in the Superliga and they can buy titles again if they wish. They have a good scouting network in Kosova which has been great in giving them cheap and young talent, they'll probably continue on that path.
But it won't be good for Albanian football if they become irrelevant again.

It's better to have clubs like Flamurtari and Vllaznia do well than Skenderbeu. Also, we have an academy that keeps producing players. Skenderbeu keeps using its money to make more moe and doesn't reinvest in the club. Have they produced any player of renown? Look at Bardhi coming up the ranks at Partizani.

Not really. If anything Skenderbeu buying it's way to the top has been terrible for our domestic league as it stifled competition. What's not good for Albanian football is Vllaznia and Flamurtari becoming irrelevant as they have consistently produced players. I rather see Vllaznia or Flamurtari dominate than Skenderbeu. Also Vllaznia has massive support unlike Skenderbeu.

That's a great point and Partizani has done a better job at scouting in Kosova than Skenderbeu. Rrahmani(sold), Fejzullahu, Mazrekaj, Trashi, Ibrahimi, etc. All key players for them.
Skenderbeu has Latifi and Berisha that are way better than Partizani's players.
It's also fucking sad that even in Albania they have to get 90% of their youth from Kosova. It's like kids there stopped playing that game and just play PES/FIFA all day in internet cafes.

Let them do it if they do well in EL/CL...They're pioneers and paving the way in Europe for the choker clubs to stop choking by relieving them of the pressure of being first to qualify for shit.

No way does Seknderbeu winning the league year after year helps Albanian football. Fans will eventually lose interest and the development of youth players will suffer in return. If anything I'd like to see 4-5 top teams challenging for the title as that means more competition, making players better, and moe fans in the stands.
