With memories of the golden years (80's) of the albanian football still fresh on her mind, Albania is now attempting to recreate its strong football legacy. As young players start making their names abroad, the future is looking bright for Albanian football!
On other note how come Asllani only featured for the U21 team this fall only? Did he really go unnoticed until he broke through at Empoli?
No way they actually scout any young players. They probably call them up randomly based on their Albanian names and agents/connections. Taking the easy approach basically.
It is wild that a 20 year old who popped out of nowhere a few months ago is literally the best Albanian midfielder.
He featured in one friendly in last summer and I think was on the bench/team before that a few occasions. Granted he was a bit younger at the time compared to the other u21 players but did they not see anything in training or did they really thought the likes of Dobra, Kallaku, Celhaka, etc, were better?
Makes me wonder why some guys like Dobra and Ndrecka continually start for the U21. These guys clearly are on a downward trajectory with their careers and will be out of football soon.

Henrik Weiper in the U21 squad. Hopefully he can get his brother involved too.
We need that Muller esque Germany efficiency in our squad.
Simoni back too which is great to see after the scare.
His brother seems interesting for sure. You can see in this video how raw he is but you can also see the talent. The ball sticks to him and he's agile for his size.
