We really need real historians who study our history and not just bullshit propaganda which we've been spoon fed throughout the last 60-70 years.

An example of how much bs we've been spoon fed is the tale of Isa Boletini, who seems to have been what we nowadays call a mercenary.

I don't have time to watch that video, but Boletini was involved in movements that sought to unify the 4 A-speaking Vilayets way before independence was declared 1912. It's true nationalistic historians always exaggerate and often times make up stuff, but some stuff are cold hard facts.

It's hard to judge Isa Boletini or others who lived in another era. They were influenced by the circumstances to make those choices. Ismail Qemali was a minister in the Turkish government , while many other albanians in north allied with Malazez and Serbs to fight the Turks (before the indipendence) . Their figures were overhyped obviously but when these puppies who were wagging their tails to serbs for a bone try to discredit Boletini's image it says all... Albanians have always been mercenaries since ancient times.

Dude was a mercenary. Don't know how you can comment when you haven't watched the video.

I actually find it quite easy to judge him and others. They're not the heroes we've viewed them as. I'd rather know the entire truth than exaggerated 'facts' about these figures. As it's mentioned in the video, these so called heroes were much like our corrupt politicians today and we've not learned from it as we've been spoon fed bullshit fairytales about these people. I'm not trying to take away their merits, but at least let's learn about their flaws also, which sadly seem to outweigh their merits. Let's teach history how it should be taught and not teach what Enver Hoxha wanted to be taught for internal political consumption.

You peel away the layers of any "hero", from the the ancient days to the modern era, and you'll find they're no real Heroes. Heroes are always "built" later by self-serving people who want to give the masses something to adore/look up to.

Migjeni I been defending you before when you argued with Eagle over the Kosova NT but if you don't get this Serbian brainwashing propaganda bullshit off of here man then I can agree with you no longer.. Next thing you about to tell us is that Adem Jashari was a terrorist..

I wouldn't agree with that. There are people who're only heroes without the bullshit. Of course there might be some hyperbole, but I want real history - not just political myth created by a crazy dictator for political gains. I want kids in schools to learn what really happened back then. I don't my kids or grandchildren to learn about Hashim Thaci, Ramush Haradinaj and others as being heroes - without mentioning all the other bullshit.

I don't need your protection nor do I need your agreement.

If you had any real argument, you'd present them. But you can't. You'd rather keep this myth alive, rather than portray him as he really was. And unlike Isa Boletini, Adem Jashari was a true hero, and not just a mercenary interested more in personal gains than anything else.

Migjeni you can't rewrite history that easy. They have become part of our epos, if you go by those standarts then even national heroes like Gj.Kastrioti will fall.
