Pretty ignorant statement I must say.
But hey, I've learned a lot the last few days. I've learned that certain people are bitter at their own failures and have to take their frustration on the hopeless people that are trying to make something for themselves.
Not really. Kosova will still be my 2nd favorite team. I hope they qualify, I'll be rooting for them in their group. Now here is where we'll get divided. If Kosova and Albanian both qualify (

) and they get placed in the same group, who would you root for(assuming you're from Kosova)? Who would most Kosovars root for? Now as for the reason as to why us mainland Albanians are acting a little butthurt. We're used to having our talent taken from us by the West, and Greece and Italy. But now all of sudden it feels like our own little brother is trying to rip away our athletes.
When you put on the shirt of a national team you represent that flag wether you like it or not. Xherdan Shaqiri represents the red and white cross, Januzaj the blue and yellow stars, and Cana represents the red and black eagle. That's a truth. You can't play for Kosova and at the same time be a representative of the Albanian national team. It doesn't work like that..
You're contradicting yourself a bit here. You cannot say I'd still root for Kosove and want them to qualify but at the same time call those people that support or play for Kosove 'unpatriotic'. Hell, it wouldn't even be unpatriotic for an albanian from the mainland to play for Kosove. Just like those people from mainland Albania that joined the UCK ranks.
As an Albanian from kosove I'd root for both teams just the same. Hell, if Cameria existed today and was in the position that Kosova is, if it meant for them to strengthen their separation from Greece I'd gladly/be happy to play for them rather than Kosove(if Kosova was already an established state).
People seem to be putting to much emphasis on what kit/flag/national anthem will be presented inside a stadium, acting oblivious to that fact these were things we had no control over to be honest . Just like when they separated kosove and other territories away from the mainland in 1912, just like when they decided to intervene in 1999, just like when they gave us the green light to declare independence in 2007, just like today they are telling us that a piece of kosovan territory belongs to montenegero and calling us fools for saying otherwise.
Saying all this, I'm not against being united under one flag, one name, one national anthem, however as long as you're not fit to fight your own battle, you cannot complain. People will bring up the Kosovan government/politicians as the main culprits to the 'division', however forgetting that these guys are nothing but puppets controlled by foreign powers. It takes two to tango, neither governments are doing or are capable of uniting, because again it all comes down to not being able to fight your own battles.
I actually think Kosova has never been in a better position than this in terms of getting closer with Albanian since 1912. However, if the cards are played right, then down the line I can easily see a one/united country with a stronger and better position in the balkans. However, judging from a lot people where they'd rather offend one another, purely because they are ignorant, I do not see how this helps the cause.
1. I'm not contradicting myself. Someone can be unpatriotic and I can still root for them. For example, Ibrahimovic is definitely not the type of person to cry at the Swedish national anthem but all of Sweden supported him. Same with the Albanians of Switzerland. I'm just saying the truth that the biggest patriots of Kosova will continue to choose Albania. Because they see the bigger picture of the future where Kosova is a part of Albania once more.
2. You never answered my question

, if Kosova and Albania played in the WC final who would you root for ??
3. The only one creating this division is Kosova. No one told them they have to take three players from the Albanian NT.. They have plenty of talents to choose from but they still picked up 3 people who had played games for us. Now that to me is divisive.. IDK if you've noticed but the world wants us to stay divided. They want to create a unique Kosova identity so when we all die out, 2-3 generations from now the kids of Kosova will have no feelings towards Albania whatsoever. They want us to be like Austria and Germany. This Kosova team is apart of that path. That is why, again, true Albanian patriots will always play for Albania..

You're the type I was referring to in my post. f*** it, just wasted my time to be honest.
If you bothered to actually read my post, you would have noticed I answered your question, and then some.
Here it is again, I'll bold the part in question, just in case you miss it again.
As an Albanian from kosove I'd root for both teams just the same. Hell, if Cameria existed today and was in the position that Kosova is, if it meant for them to strengthen their separation from Greece I'd gladly/be happy to play for them rather than Kosove(if Kosova was already an established state).

That's what I meant though. You can't pick both as an answer shok
You could say what you want but Albanians will always come from Albania. Kosova is Albanian today but in 100 years who knows..

"albanians will always come from albania" and then he goes to say "we are one". Contradiction, hypocrisy, irony all rolled up into one.
You do not have to look at 100 years from now. Go 100 years backwards from now, and you'll get your answer.
Baffling.

Problem is that Albanians from Albania do not recognize Kosovo as an independent state. Even Serbs are beginning to recognize it but some Albanians are having a hard time.

Only when it suits them.
Good that you brought this point.
Serbs have problem with Kosova being represented on equal ground with other 'state/countries'. They hardly give a f*** or in fact see it as a positive thing when they compete for Albania. Guess why?...
because to them albanians do not belong in kosove but in modern day albania.

Our dream of one united Albanian nation is dying a slow death as Kosova continues to consolidate its status as a sovereign nation, and its recent admissions to the various sports federations only solidifies that position. I have also noticed, especially amongst football fans, that Kosova is viewed very favorably especially due to talents like Januzaj/Shaqiri/Xhaka who have been rumoured and could potentially switch to Kosova. Gone are the days when people would side with Serbs and Kosova is being accepted as equal amongst Euroepan nations.
We will become like Germany and Austria, which is not necessarily a bad thing. Maybe a joint federation or something along the lines of the arrangement they have in the UK could be in store for the future. As the Prishtina elite consoldiates its power it will not want to relinquich its power and become subservient to Tirana.

The only way we unify is if Vetevendosja win the next elections.

Yes Albanians will always come from Albania. I consider Kosova a part of Albania but if we stay divided then 100 years from now there will be generations of kids born in an independent Kosova state who will view themselves as Kosovar and not Albanian. When that happens then Kosova won't be Albania and that's the sad truth.. We can't just not acknowledge these things and try to sweep them underneath the rug.
The European Dream is that Kosova and Albanian become Austria/Germany. The more players that jump onto Kosova NT the more jersies sold. The more jersies sold the more the flag of Kosova is waved and the wordless Kosova anthem played. The more the flag is waved and the anthem is played the more Kosova distances itself from Albania. Do you see where I'm going here?
Also please I'm dying to know what your answer to the question was. Kosova vs Albania in Moscow for the 2018 WCQ, who would you root for to win? You have to pick one..
