Well said. Aleanca Kuq e Zi is still a movement however the more supported one is PDIU. Vetëvendosje however is very powerfull at the moment and are a radical power so people will see soon what they can do.Plako wrote:I agree with your overall assessment of nationalism in Albania but let's not exaggerate much, Kosova has always been a part of our national psyche. Thinks may have not been ideal in the 1990's with the economic collapse that followed the fall of the communist regime but Kosova was always part of the national discussion.Dallku wrote:Even if Vetevendosje is popular in Kosovo(for now) it doesn't matter because at the end of the day it takes two people to tango. In Albania 98% of people don't even know or care what a Vetevendosje is. There was a nationalistic party in Albania named 'Aleanca Kuqezi' or something like that but it died pretty quickly because nobody cares about this shit over there. It's seen as a laughing stock more than anything.
Before 99 we couldn't locate Kosovo on the map let's be honest.
As for Aleanca Kuqezi, it was not a nationalist movement, just a ploy by whoever was behind Kreshnik Spahiu to stir the pot of the Albanian political scene a bit.
People do care and according the polls 65% of RA citizens are pro unification, a bit lower than that of Kosova which is at 75% if I'm not mistaken. It's just that economic concerns take priority and we've been hit hard by the global recession so you won't hear much of unification talk. Also our political class is completely subservient to the EU and US masters who are not fond of any unification talk so they don't bring it up at all. If there were to be a referendum on unification it would pass by 80% easily. Anyone advocating openly against unification would commit political suicide.

This was said perfectly. The shkije unite and we divide. These type of people supporting the Kosova national team are the same type that have held us back all our history.KF.KORAB wrote:What kind of big day are you talking about? I think tomorrow will be a big day for Kosovars and Albanians in general
If everything goes according to the plan Kosova will get it's participation at the next qualifiers for the Russian WC and after that many things may change
I read that FIFA and UEFA will give to the players of Kosovan origin a deadline date to choose if they will move to the Kosova NT or remain at their current one
This date will be for sure before the qualifications for the WC but if it is before EURO then Kosova's chances of getting some important players will be limited cause most of them won't lose the opportunity of playing at EURO'S with their current NT
Plus Kosova no matter who comes will be a pot 6 team even behind Gibraltar at the start of its international career so it will be almost impossible for them to qualify at any major tournament within 6-8 years
f*** Kosovan national team there is no Kosovan football team, there is only Albania. Why servian players from Kosova like Bisevac or Krasic doesn't go to play for Kosovo? Because they recognize Kosova as part of Serbia and play only for Serbia, then Albanians there should do the same. Kosova national team doesn't exist, boycott it, burn it. I'm praying that this shit isnot going to happen seriously.

You know I'm really conflicted on the matter. On the one hand, this will help with international recognition of independence which in turn will make unification easier. On the other hand, if this experiment goes on for too long then like you said it will create divides amongst us.Albo_eagle wrote:This was said perfectly. The shkije unite and we divide. However to be honest I think this is all just the Kosova FA trying to blackmail the FSHF(as is our tradition) into paying them to unite the teams. No one in their right mind would want to represent this flag anyway:

If the teams were to unite what would it be called? And would the likes of Januzaj, Shaqiri Xhaka etc be eligible to play for Albania ?

Kosova being accepted into Uefa should be joyous but i think our independence gave us something to learn from. Independence was meant to be just a step towards unification with Albania but we saw that with the wrong people in charge they will look after their own interests.
Many people happy Kosova is now a member of Uefa but with someone like Vokkri in charge do you think he will help create on league? FSHF are not much better but Duka has claimed he supports one league but Vokkri will want to be a powerfull leader and figure.
Players from Kosovë turning down playing in red and black to play for that blue and yellow flag is so embarassing. I hope this does not happen ever.

Well congrats to Kosova. We knew this was bound to happen so all we can do wish for it to be a success and start working towards unification.
While everyone's focused on Kosova NT, I am more excited for Prishtina playing in the CL. This is tremendous news for the Kosovar league.

Congrats to all Albanians. I see this as a step closer towards unification and especially congrats to the young people in Kosova which will be able to represent their clubs in European tournaments and qualifications.
And the number of votes we got just shows how much a 'kurvë', Europe is. 54 votes in total - and only 28 in favor. Pieces of shit. That's why we need unification more than never now.

It will be interesting to see if the likes of G.Xhaka, Shaqiri and Behrami keep their word and play for Kosova like they said a few years back when they said if Kosovo was to be accepted.

I can't deny it that Kosova will be my second favorite national team but i have no expectations from Kosova and i believe they will be underperformers. Kosova become member of Uefa in 'best possible' moment for Albania, we all knew that one day this gonna happen so i believe it will have no concequences for Kombetare and it will be less painful for both sides. I won't be surprised if Kosova will face 'big names' rejection but i believe Januzaj will leave Belgium. First thing that Kosova should do is sack Bunjaku and bring decent foreign coach ( Ciro Blazevic would been ideal candidate), there is no chance that Bunjaki can build a team.
