The only positive thing of this victory is the beating we gave to the fyromians, that is always a pleasure.

P.S. I though the rumours of Alioski being Albanian were wikipedia bullshit, but it seems he really is one since he is speaking Albanian with the journalist.
I didn't know Prilep had an Albanian population. Can any of you give more infos?
Prilep does have a small and very fast growing Albanian population that lives mainly in the sorrunding villages but not so much on the city.

I'm thinking he could have just been born in that city probably because there's better hospitals. I know of family members who were born km bitola but they aren't from that city.
Artan you sure the Albanians there are growing? I've just checked demographics data of the Prilep municipality and it says it has barely 22 Albanians.
I didn't really know the Prilep region was part of the Albanian sphere though I now suspect it may have had a much larger Albanian population. Do you know if the Turkish-Yugoslav agreement for Albanian expulsions particularly affected this area?

By the way, it was funny to compare the interviews of Hasani and Alioski, it's really amusing the difference between two cities like Tetove and Prilep that are just 60 kms from eachother :)
Hasani was a bit akward when talking and somehow struggled with literary Albanian, meanwhile Alioski was much more confident. Alioski sounded definetly more Tosk, though I cannot say for sure if it was a proper Tosk dialect or not.

I just don't understand something about this team. We all see the same thing! We say this team is shit and uses the wrong players, game after game after game and yet we achieve unachievable results and always pull through. This has happened since De Biasi took reign. We made the Albanian mistakes and lost those games in the row the first World Cup qualifier but after that it seemed every time we were set up to disappoint we never did. Every time we mention luck, individual skills, weak opponents, drones, CAS and now Mother Teresa and rain as the reason for us to get what we need.

For God's sake can we say something has changed. This team never fucking dies and no matter how, it always achieves the needed results. How many times can you get lucky? You can get lucky once, twice, maybe thrice but after that it is just us. I was in France and watched it live and let me tell you De Biasi is the fucking man. I don't care what any of you say this guy has saved our football and made us a competitive team where even Italy as Spain papers mentions us as a underdog third team in our group.

If De Biasi ever leaves, I want Tramexhani to continue as our head couch. We have to continue with this philosophy. We made a lot of progress, all the sudden to start playing "tika taka". I am fine playing like 1980's Italy, don't forget this style won them a world cup!

Great job team :flag:

This is exactly what i feel as soon as things are going wrong. After a win everyone forgets. Lets keep winning and hope at the same time better and better plays keep coming through.

Manaj shoudl hopefully now go back and start at Pescara, a few more goals and he will probanly start for us.

This could of been our starting lineup against Macedonia

Berisha
Hysaj Mavraj. Djimsiti. Aliji
Kace. Xhaka
Rashica. Avdijaj. Berisha
Sadiku

Instead we've lost 3 descent players thanks to that Italian cunt and now we are stuck with gashi and hyka until another talent pops up and even then we might lose him again cuz de biasi not like attacking football or players that are actually good.

How the hell are we meant to score goals with the likes of hyka and gashi on the wings. Sooner or later our luck is going to run out, shame really we could of been a good side, thanks a lot de biasi

We could have had Rashica/Berisha but instead we're now stuck with Gashi/Hyka. Huge loss for sure but then again I was happy to see Kosova do well, despite their vomit inducing uniforms.

It's true that we are achieving results and i have mostly supported DB. But do you honestly think that we can't beat this Macedonia side comfortably? Why do we have to struggle? We were lucky with the rain, the day of the match our team looked hopeless. Even our goal was an amazing solo effort, not some good team play and shit.

Which players are better?
a) Memushaj (Serie A), Kaçe (Czech champions), Roshi (Russian PL)
b) Hyka (some shit league), Kukeli (some shit league, 2nd division), Gashi (somewhere where they play "soccer")

Give me a break, man. Im not saying to play like Barcelona. Obv our formation will be defensive. But at least play the right players! And we dont have to play defensive against weaker teams.

About the players we lost to Kosova, i dont think it's a big deal. Sure they could've helped but we have enough quality. Rashica did f*** all in 90 mins vs amateur team. He aint as good as people make him out to be. Plus our U21 are doing well, we have players coming through the ranks.

My only grief is why we have to make it hard for us every time!

Rondon you're right. Albanians are non-existent in Prilep. The regions I had in mind where Krusevo, Dolneni and Caska municipalities which all neighbor Prilep which I thought were part of Prilep. For example, I remember reading back awhile ago that for the Caska muncipality Albanians constituted something like 80% of the newborns in the muncipality(official stats) while Albanians only made up like 24% of the population of the municipality... I know the city of Bitola(Monastir) and Resen was hit hard from the deportation strategies implemented but I don't think Prilep has any Albanian significance but I can be wrong.

As for the game I think everyone is kinda overreacting that we got lucky. We dominated the first half to the point our players were panicking as they never held so much possession of the ball. I thought we were playing too cute near the Macedonian goal when we should have been pressing the issue more for a second goal so we have breathing space when we fucked up. Just look at the stats we had 61% possession (which is unheard of from a Di Biasi team) and 467 passes completed as compared to 218 from Macedonia. I thought in the second half the Macedonian players were pulling a Lila and flopping hard to milk out the clock and ruin the flow of the game. I counted Ristovski flopping 3 times and laying on the floor (Xhaka was about to step on his face). Ironically, The Macedonians played how we normally play against the tougher opponents. Difference is we bunker against Griezman, Pogba, Ronaldo, etc, while Macedonia is bunkering against Gashi and Abrashi.

Edit: I'm seeing some posts about people saying Hyka was shit. I thought he had a good first half and was very technical with the ball. Gashi is non existent. Hysaj great passing ability and we'll start to struggle once teams learn to press Hysaj. Gymcity looks a bit slot/flat footed out there but he did his job defensively. Time for Agolli to be replaced by Aliji. Kukeli had a decent first half for me, he does his job well positioning himself in front of the backline, making simple passes and covering for the backline. However, that assist he had to Alioski was brutal.. Xhaka ain't a winger, put the pitbull in the middle!
