Honestly, the quicker the EU is broken up the better it will be for Europe. EU is fools gold run by wealthy bankers/corporations who tell everyone what to do.
artan my friend this REFERENDUM had nothing to do with the EU. The majority of the ignorant voters didn't even know what EU stand for.artan wrote:Honestly, the quicker the EU is broken up the better it will be for Europe. The big shots in London will always find better uses for money than some tiny crap hole in Wales. Say what you will about the EU, but it has helped a lot of communities and farmers that are otherwise forgotten. It's the same in Finland, most farmers live on EU money. There are plenty of things about the EU that are problematic, but simply moaning about the cost while ignoring all other benefits is ignorant at best. Helping the ones in a weaker position at the expense of those in a stronger position may seem unfair, but I actually find it commendable and civilised. Perhaps it shouldn't be done on a European scale, but I still find it a noble concept that will benefit us all in the long run.
We can't turn back time. Globalisation already happened. Factories aren't coming back to the UK from China because they're leaving the EU. There is no reset button that's gonna take us back to the "good old days". It's one thing staying "independent" and not joining a union, and another thing altogether to try to pull away from a union you've been part of for 40+ years. Shit has changed in that time and it's got nothing to do with the EU. I have no doubt that sticking with the union and improving it from within is a better idea than retreating behind your borders and not really having a clue or any say on what's going on on the other side. This whole thing is a total waste of money and time and will leave Britain worse off than it was. I can only hope common sense will prevail in the coming months and nobody will have the guts to actually push the button.

I find it amazing how many people pretend to know what the EU is. None of us here do apart from superficial factors. It's a complex trading network whose intricacies the general population doesn't understand.MadMan wrote: artan my friend this REFERENDUM had nothing to do with the EU. What matters is that all the economists were ignored. We've descended into an era of idiocy where emotion trumps reason. Studying something for decades doesn't matter if the general population is angry.

We will now have early elections and the people can choose which government should be given power and that is it.
