The captain . The warrior . The gladiator . Whatever you might call him , he is the one who has more caps for our national team. With a good football background playing in pro football since the age of 19 in France he was capped in the match ended 3:2 for the Swiss . Cana since then moved from Paris St Germain to Mairseille where he played 4 seasons from 2005 to 2009 . Had one season experience at Sunderland in Premierleague then one season at Gallatasaray . Right now playng at Lazio his 4-rth season in row . At the age of 31 he has another 2-3 good years to contribute on the top level of pro-football . He might move at the German Bundesliga to change environment and have other stimuli . His latest performances at Lazio have been great and has contributed holding their defensive line in order during championship and the cup matches. This gives us hope that as always he will give his 100% in our upcoming match against Armenia.

Maybe after the WC qualifies. By then he'll have had his 100th cap and be the only Albanian centennial in our history..

I think Cana might retire NT after France. It's a bit iconic too, because he made his career there, and is finally going there by captaining his country. Maybe he will go for 100.

I believe he will serve Albania much more out off the field than in it. He can use his connections to help out kids from Albania/Kosova join French teams.
