Hard to see Balliu breaking into the team after over 2 years of not getting activated.

Albania has eaten 5 goals in 104 minutes with him on the pitch. Just another weak midget who is likely to sink us.

Yeah man you really need to start adding context . Causation and correlation , it’s real simple .

Context? :zgerdhimje:

Debut of Balliu was in 2017 at Spain. Albania eats 3 goals in first half and he is subbed off straight away at halftime.

Second appearance was a full out embarrassment at Loro Borici against the Turks. We conceded twice within 60 minutes and he is pulled right after they scored the second, as the home crowd boos him off the field.

5 goals eaten in 104 minutes and never activated again!

With that logic our whole back line should be benched since we’ve been awful since 2017 defensively. For such a good back line on paper Gymcity, Hysaj, Ismaili, Strakosha, Berisha, etc, have leaked in a lot of goals over the years.

I think the Hungary match may have been the only match they kept a clean sheet against in a qualification match and vs a professional team

Cannot drop those who have been with the team consistently ahead of these important upcoming matchups.

Balliu has not been activated for over two years, recently rejecting a call up, and with it, a chance to integrate into the current group. Considering his weak performances in the past, there is no way he should be considered for a spot in the lineup while we still have life in these qualifiers.

Who has "consistently" been playing wingback for us except Hysaj? Trashi and Doka are shuffled accordingly match to match.

Balliu is clearly better than those two.

In no way is he better than Doka who has not yet lost an official match with Albania, recently stifling Hungary in a start at Elbasan. I would not argue if Hysaj sat next game in favor of him, as he looks to be the next Andi Lila.

Current rotation is Hysaj, Roshi, Doka and Trashi at wingback. Hard to make big changes to the lineup in the middle of qualifiers. Balliu surely does not merit it more than those 4 men, having been absent for 2+ years!

SAMPLE SIZE and OBJECTIVITY

For example Sotiris Ninis played in the Euro-winning Greek squad but ended up being a very bad player in his career. That's one example of performances deceiving on occasion.

But in your example you are not even talking about if they played well or not (Doka). You're just saying if we won with him on the pitch the one or two time he played which tells us nothing. So really the bit about 'not yet lost an official match with Albania' has nothing interesting to look at.

You are even proposing to sit Hysaj, one of our best and most reliable players playing in Serie A and Europe all his career, because 'Doka was in the lineup when we beat Hungary'. Even Reja doesn't pick his team like this thankfully

I don't think the coach was gonna start Broja the next match either way. He started him because the other striker got a muscular injury. Still Broja appart from the pk he didn't have a bad game. He got no service from his teammates.

It’s honestly nonsense. To even propose dropping Hysaj is crazy talk. His whole argument doesn’t make sense and stems from player x plays and we lose = player x is bad .
