The midget Japanese upset the super tall, physical Germans.

How did they do it? Pace and technique. The top 2 ingredients for an upset.

Nobody has more pace and technique than the Argentinian midgets. Look how far it got them..

Germany is just not that good as they once were.

Argentina has 0 pace. That's their problem. Di Maria is their quickest player and he's 34 and washed.

Canada full of MLS players dominated Belgium and so unlucky not to get a result. Way more athleticism but lacked a bit of experience. North Americans put value into physical preparation, and Europeans will struggle to match their strength/conditioning..

CF Montreal Alistair Johnston and Kamal Miller, TFC Richie Laryea were superb tonight!

Foreign team with domestic coach does not sound right to me..
Ever since Duka got elected as FSHF president we haven't had a single Albanian head coach. However, we've had 8 foreigners without counting interim coaches like Mustedanagi:
1. Beppe Dossena
2. Hans-Peter Briegel
3. Ottoc Baric
4. Ari Haan
5. Josip Kuže
6. Gianni de Biasi
7. Christian Panucci,
8. Eddy Reja

Prior to Duka we had:
Medin Zhega
Sul Demollari
Astrit Hafizi
Neptun Bajko
Bejkush Birce

Notice the difference.
To be fair there is a difference in talent level post 2014 compared to the pre Duka level. Pre 2012 squads didn't have access to diaspora based players which have given Albania some talent and professionalism.

I don't care if the manager is Albanian or not but it can't be an old school Italian coach who refuses to change or adopt. Reja certainly is the worst coach we've had in the last 20 years due to the talent he's had and his gross negligence in lineup selections and failure to establish tactics. No way someone like Panucci would start second division Turkish players over Broja or a Kuwaiti amateur over Balliu.

Serbia will get smashed today, they will get beaten by at least three goals. Brazil has too much class and pace for them.

Surprised at the odds for this game. I expected Brazil to be bigger favorites.

Wouldn't be surprised to see an upset... although Brazil has an insane team.

Nobody will admit it but the best results we have had is with Broja coming off the bench. We have a very poor win rate with him starting and he hasn't been good for the NT for a long while as a starter.

There is probably some truth to what Reja said that he is better against tired legs.
