The fans have valid criticism too. Their relationship went downhill because he missed Kosovo's biggest moments (playoffs against Macedonia in 2020 and playoffs in 2026 vs Turkey). For weak reasons too.

So FFK and their media people have been treating him like shit because of it and he took offense to that.

Matter of time before Zhegrova quits too. He seems like a diva.

Neither of them were ever considering Albania.

These players always come up with fake excuses and lip service to why they don't want to play for Albania, so that they can preserve the support of Albanian fans and claim their Albanian identity whilst not playing for Albania.

I respect players who come out and say their intention directly rather than playing mind games.

For example, Weiper said he wants to play for Germany however possible but if it doesn't work out he sees Albania as a good option. No fake patriotism BS and just telling it like it is.

Some of these others keep it intentionally ambiguous so that we can speculate on FSHF failings and 'not convincing them' rather than making it clear they are rejecting Albania.

Albania was obviously never first choice for them. Tbf to them they never claimed it was. The only chance Albania had is if they never got called up for Germany and USA. These new rules/schedule really killed the chances.

But Fshf really needs to start capping players at an early age like Kosovo is doing right now with Erblim Osmani. Albania could do the same thing with Armend Muslika and players with potential like that. But no, instead they are wasting roster spots on Scottish league bench warmers and serie C players.

For a team that's desperate for talent Albania is operating like they are Brazil and doesn't need anyone. Meanwhile all the other NTs in the region are very smart with their diaspora.

Adri Mehmeti wouldn't have been serious to play for Albania for a few years. When a player like that breaks out so young he's never going to accept. It is what it is.

The only talented ones Albania can really poach at this time are the ones that are from italy or England. Even Kosovo can poach guys like Hajdari and Avdullah who are legit players. If they were Albanian diaspora they would be like Gruda and just wait it out until Switzerland calls them.

Some of it may me Albanian diaspora don't have much connections to Albania or lack of "patriotism" which I don't blame them for because they are diaspora and some of it is definitely Albania NT right now has no excitement what so ever and lack of talent to entice them.
