They have a name and a surname combined as a surname

That's good enough with the short surnames

In Albania there is a segment of the population that will name their kids whatever the popular telenovela protagonist is famous at the time. :wallbang:
In Albania? Watch when your kids come home with friends called "Daenerys" and "Tyrion".

There's obviously Mergim Berisha which is an obvious choice. Switzerland has a few talented players coming up like Banjaku or Hajdari in which we don't have a chance for. Same with Dajaku in Germany.

Let's be honest, that's a very underwhelming list to say the least.

On one side we bash players like Ramadani and Veseli and on the other side we are looking at players equally as bad(or worse) to replace them. lol

Might as well naturalize some decent Argentinians/Italians with potential Arberesh roots (like Candreva) if the desperation level is that high.

They kinda did it with Balliu though and he's not even good.

Let's call up Australian Labor Party Leader Anthony Albanese too while we're at it.

Everyone with Albanese surname is of arberesh descendance.

“ Il cognome Albanese nacque come soprannome dato a persone di origine albanese, o perché venivano direttamente dall'Albania o perché originari delle colonie albanesi dell'Italia meridionale. Il cognome si diffuse nel periodo delle repubbliche marinare, quando, specialmente a Venezia, vennero arruolati soldati fra gli albanesi.”

The problem comes out if FIFA is satisfied of their 500+ years origin , i don’t think they’d let them switch. Btw that kid might not be better than Ramadani but at least it would make scoop in Italy :” Albania stealing our talents!” 🤣
