The number of Kosovars has been drastically reduced though compared to 2016. Back then they were half our team, now it's maybe 1/4.

I'm kinda torn on this tbh. Kosovo needs to legitimize themselves as a country, and athletics helps them for sure. But footballing wise we just can't afford this fragmentization. I'll say at this point, just leave it to the players to decide.

Kosovars will continue to play for Albania because they are Albania's best chance to compete. But problem is that we'll be selecting the third tier Kosovars. Switzerland/Germany will take the most talented then followed by Kosovo. Whoever is left will go to Albania. Just think about it, if Kosovo was never admitted into UEFA Albania would have guys like Rrahmani, Zhegrova, Rashica, Muriqi, Asllani all playing for them right now.

And yes the lack of player problem is the biggest problem. Without Kosovars and diaspora the Albanian national team is on par with teams like Bulgaria. Hopeless teams that can barely beat teams like Latvia.

Lol this pissing contest aside, Sylvinho got obsessed with Shehu after the Serbia game, which was a pretty big deal considering it was first start. If only Manaj didn't shit the bed.

Shehu is a decent mid-level player. Doesn't have anything special, but doesn't panic under pressure either. I certainly think on the ball at least he's better than Ramadani.

Kosovo Albanians contributed a great deal to our history!

Now that they have their own NT, all the best to them!

Bajrami and Ramadani made history and are legends of the NT!

Shehu hasn’t proven anything so can’t mention him in the same breath as those guys..

I don't know about the overrated bit but its becoming more and more clear Albania and Kosovo are separate entities at least football-wise. We don't touch their players (unless they switch themselves), they don't touch ours, and the vast majority of Kosovars play for Kosovo.

Its an unfortunate situation but it seems like Kosovan football has its own identity independent of Albania now so describing them as Kosovan rather than Albanian is appropriate.

It is a shame political incidents have robbed us of what could be a generation defying unified Albanian team, but it is what it is, Kosovan players don't really identify with Albania anymore so we gotta accept it.

Shehu was man of the match against Serbia. He was the reason Albania controlled the midfield and should've won.

I really don’t get his hatred of the guys from Kosove , like they haven’t carried the national team all these years. Maybe an ex from Gjilani or something fucked him over
