That lineup tells me that GDB has absolutely no faith in this team getting a win so he's playing and PRAYING for a draw(which technically is better than nothing if we're honest). If it finishes in a draw everyone will be happy and this tournament will be considered a success. GDB will say that we were just "unlucky" against the Swiss, France and probably Romania too. Meanwhile the likes of Iceland, Northern Ireland and Hungary are killing it with no complexes, fear and excuses.

Lila was pretty good(defensively) against France but on the offensive end he offers as much as Etrit Berisha. GDB's intentions are so obvious.

The Sadiku thing is hilarious. He has been in the doghouse for the past 4 years and now that the Euros are here he's a guaranteed starter out of nowhere. Nothing against him because he has played with a lot of heart but pretty funny because he's probably exhausted at this point.

I just realized that this will be Cana's last game for the NT.

To be fair Iceland are playing much more defensive and bunkering more than we would(even in our dreams). Yesterday, they only had 33% possession against Hungary(they bunkered immediately after scoring an early goal) and had 28% possession against Portugal. Same with Northern Ireland, they bunkered and played very defensive.

The difference between them and us is that they're disciplined, organized and don't leak in stupid goals. You have to earn goals against them. And to be fair Switzerland/France are tougher opponents than what they've played so far. But that being said I'm pretty sure we'd have conceded an early goal against the likes of Northern Ireland from a stupid backpass or something and then we'll dominate possession but won't be able to score. Add in a shot deflecting off the bar and we'll soak in our sorrows saying we we're unlucky.

What kills me is that we absolutely need three points and he's still playing defensive. It's also sad that our best player during qualifers(Xhaka) is now on the bench. Where is the goals gonna come from? We're gonna pray for a Lenjani miracle every game? But I don't think we can even play offensive because we don't have the personnel. He left guys like Rashica, Meha, Rama, etc, off the roster, some a long time ago.

Romania is a very defensive team either, very similar to us. I can see starting Lila vs France but against Romania?

It was over after that opening loss and the early events that happened in the first half against Switzerland. This team still doesn't have the mentality to fight back and instead they've played the we got unlucky card.

Xhaka and Cikalleshi were the most solid players in the qualifiers and now they can barely get any minutes in the Euros. To be fair Xhaka has shown poor form and throwing that bottle didn't help(DB doesn't tolerate arrogance like that) but I'd still give him the benefit of the doubt if he's fit enough to play.

Cikalleshi never scored much but he helped the team a lot in terms of relieving some of the pressure from the opponents by keeping the ball a little and creating something out of nothing. Sadiku is more dependent on his teammates and loses pretty much every single duel with the defenders. I get that Sadiku is faster and presses/works harder but is he really worth running into the ground for the 3rd game straight? He had one sitter and fvcked it up. Just rotate and if not for Cikalleshi how about Gashi?

I feel bad for Kace because I believed that he would be a starter in the Euros. I thought he was pretty good in the friendlies prior to the tournament. To be fair Memushaj played well against France and Abrashi is hard to bench because he runs like a maniac(DB's wet dream).

The wings are pathetic and the fact that we play Lila there is even more pathetic. Someone here said that Lenjani is the best offensive player in the team.. lmao that about sums up the level of the wings in this team. Lenjani has created approximately 0 chances in the first 2 games, 0 dribbles, 0 good passes, 0 good crosses, nothing. He's a shitty LB playing as a winger for Albania.

What's interesting is that Hysaj has done more offensively than all attackers combined.

I was actually just about to say that. His crossing/passing ability against the Swiss was the main reason we were creating chances. He was threading passes to Sadiku, quite impressive. I'm sure Di Biasi is gonna ruin him by playing him as a winger for the next qualifiers and have someone else at RB. Still would be better than we have currently.

Feel for Kace as he should have been used more, but Hysaj has shown this tournament that he is our best player by a mile and will be somebody.
Ajeti also has grown on me a lot as the man has been thrown in always as a last ditch without confidence in him and yet he is solid as fvck and doesn't disappoint. Aliji has to be used tonight. Sadiku must be tired but doubt he'd care so Cika should start with him supporting. Gashi can Fvck off together with Lila. My line up for today. Ajeti must be tired after concussion
Shehi
Hysaj Cana Mavraj Aliji

Xhaka Basha Kace

Sadiku. Lenjani

Cikaleshi

Berisha; Hysaj, Ajeti, Mavraj, Agolli; Basha, Abrashi, Memushaj, Lila, Lenjani; Sadiku

Our line up for today apparently. Honestly if we get a goal today we can count ourselves lucky because right now with this formation it looks as if we are heading out of France with no points and no goals.

No Cana? I know he stinks but a part of me would feel bad if his last appearance for the team was a dumb handball.
