Re: Exodus 2.0 - Kombetarja

With memories of the golden years (80's) of the albanian football still fresh on her mind, Albania is now attempting to recreate its strong football legacy. As young players start making their names abroad, the future is looking bright for Albanian football!

Hoxha was a Yugoslav puppet and the sole reason he gained power was because he bent over to the Yugoslavs. The Yugoslavs(with the help of the Soviets) created the communist party in Albania and chose Hoxha as their leader. Hoxha betrayed the Balli Kombetar after Hoxha gave them their word that they'll cease fire among eachother and fight for "Greater Albania". Of course the Yugoslavs(especially the Serbs) didn't like this and forced Hoxha to backstab the Bali Kombetar or else they'll withdraw their support for Hoxha. Then of course Hoxha seceded any support for the Albanian lands in Kosova, Macedonia and Cameria so he can keep his little banana state where he'd be a mini-god. He then brainwashed the people to believe in Marxism-Leninism some political ideological BS. Albanians in Albania went starving and lived in some prison state worshiping Karl Marx and Joseph Stalin. Albanians in the Yugo were genocided, deported and treated like third class citizens. Albanians in Cameria were completely wiped off the map.

I'm on a rant here lol. Hoxha's threats were for pure propaganda purposes to control the people. How exactly was he gonna invade Yugoslavia and Greece with their WW2 ammunition and soldiers who probably went starving?

Nowhere is his speeches did Hoxha threaten to invade either Yugoslavia or Greece. He was only threatening retaliation if they ever tried to mess with Albania's national sovereignty, which he knew very well that the Serbs and Greeks would try if given the chance.

Not sure where you got your history lessons from but Balli Kombetar were a bunch of fascist and nazi collaborators that never lifted a finger against the occupiers. It's easy to throw mud at the commies now after they devastated the country with their lunatic economic policy but they were the only resistance force against the occupation in WWII. How many divisions did Balli field against the Nazis? How many Ballists died fighting the Nazis? A big fucking zero.

And this whole notion of Hoxha being a Yugoslav puppet is laughable. The Yugo puppet in Albania was Koci Xoxe (origin either Vlach or Macedonian Orthodox) who was executed by Hoxha in 1949. We broke off ties with Tito's Yugoslavia very soon after WWII and did not normalize relations until very recently. Gotta love this revisionist history.

Hoxha was a Machiavellian bastard who gained absolute power through sheer ruthlessness and physical elimination of direct threat to his power. He had the balls to go to Moscow and break off relations with Russia at the gathering of all communist parties where the great Sino-Soviet split took place. He eliminated the pro-Soviet faction and kicked the Soviets out of Albania. He was nobody's puppet.

I don't think Shkodranet nga qyteti can tell the difference either ;)

You keep taking this moral high ground that Northern Albanians do not share the same attitudes as the Southerners but yet these same people say some of the worst thing about Labs and Southerners routinely are called "Greeks" :)

I don't get this love people have for those Balli geeks. I agree 100% with Plato.

Well Balli in theory sounded like a great movement. They had a nationalist agenda and their Dekalog sounds like every nationalist's dream.

Had the Nazis won WWII we'd have been better off with Balli and they were strong advocates of unification with Kosova. The commies on the other hand were internationalists and did not give priority to our national aspirations as much as they should have.

Oh come on
Albanians from Malesi e Madhe are the same brunch of clans like the ones from Peje, Rugove (malesi e pejes) , Istok , Pazar i Ri, Plave e Guci. While Malesort of Dukagjini are more connected to Puke, Mirdite , Burrel klans .

Now that we're talking here there are some of the most notable albanians of our modern time connected or hailing from Malesi e Madhe :
Martin Camaj , Rexhep Qosja, Rudi Vata , Ibrahim Rugova, Cun Lajçi , Elseid Hysaj, Majlinda Kelmendi , Bekim Balaj ...

PS. I've seen only Albanians from Kosove calling southern Albanians Greeks on routine basis as it happens with LedZep here aswell but i don't know how northerners reply to the "Malok epitet"

I just wanted to add a few things to the discussion:

- The people who shit on Kosovars the most are by far the Northerners i.e. Shkodran, Lezhjan etc. To be fair though most of the people from Kosova who come on vacation to Shenqjin/Velipoja are absolute katundars. They've absolutely destroyed Velipoja and that's why we all go to Shenqjin now (please don't give up this secret to the Kosovars).
- Everyone in Albania hates everyone else in Albania. People from Tirana think they're fucking New Yorkers. People from Tropoja think everyone is pussy. People from Lezha think they're the cradle of civilization surrounded by savages. However, when push comes to shove if any Albanian is threatened, we are all threatened. We all stand up to fight for each other.
- If Kosova and Albania never unite, then it would likely be because of us Albanians than it would it because of Kosovars. We have always wanted to unite since 1870, the day will come but even if it doesn't that is fine as long as it never loses it's Albanian identity..

^..... I don't know , but where do i live i don't get these impressions and it doesn't matter what few ignorant people in Albania might think , never asked them ;) Poor people from Kosove come in north because the costs are lower and usually when families rent houses they live inside them like barbarian hordes in 10-15 people... But that would happen to you aswell if few family cousins would come with you to live in a small house . Shengjin and Velipoje have less than 10k inhabitants and can't become hosts of 80k-100k visitors without paying conseguences like garbage containers filling twice a day when the company recovers them once only or the traphic on the roads and insuficient parking lots... So far heard the best impressions about albanians from Diber and Tetove that leave the rented houses cleaner and better than before but that's not a motive to judge a two million population.

Well "Malok" is derogatorily used only towards certain Norhernerns, specifically the same class of people that would be derogatorily called the same even northern cities like Shkodra or Lezha. In the years after WWII it was us Leberit that were the "maloks" of Tirana ;)

Nobody in Tirana would ever call a Shkodran Qytetar "Malok" :)

More like Kim Jong-Il. Kim Jong-Un strikes me as the idiot son who became king. He was a madman that did severe damage to the country. The one thing I find fascinating is that left wing dictatorships ruin a country economically, China being the exception but they're no longer commies, and right-wing dictatorships spur economic development.

Hoxha was the product of his time which gave the world Mussolini, Hitler, Stalin and Mao. Nowadays it'd be impossible for his ilk to get away with 1/100th of what he got away with.
