Re: Exodus 2.0 - Kombetarja

With memories of the golden years (80's) of the albanian football still fresh on her mind, Albania is now attempting to recreate its strong football legacy. As young players start making their names abroad, the future is looking bright for Albanian football!

It may be hard for me to really explain to you as I am comparing to what was before. Used to be a leading Albanian city. Can't say that now
Non Albanian? Shqip flasin te gjithe lal, edhe jevgjit edhe boshnjaket
So you're comparing those vacationing to gypsies and Bosnians?

Nah dude, gypsies and Bosnians have lived in Durres for generations. Think most Bosnians moved there after WWI. He was just trying to emphasize that everyone speaks Albanian, including those that are not ethnic Albanians.

Losing Rrahmani won't hurt us the slightest in the immediate future but he might be needed down the road. He might not be the most promising player but he's only 21 and he might be our best central defender that is 21 and under. I don't think we have a better central defender in the youth ranks at the moment. It appears that he's been playing well in Croatia and I believe he was listed in the team of the season and drawing interest from Serie A clubs. I'll take that with a grain of salt as the Albanian media is shit and no one really knows how he is performing in Croatia.

Gymcity seems like he'd be the ideal partner with Ajeti for the long term but we don't know what's going on with Gym. I don't have much faith in Veseli and he seems like he'll be a career backup to Hysaj, Veseli should get some looks at CB though. Mavraj doesn't have much left in the tank and I don't see him playing past this campaign cycle and with Cana retiring this opens up a spot this cycle let alone the future. Maybe Rrahmani could have provided some competition for the spot next to Ajeti in the long term.

But that being said I understand his decision as he'll probably be starting for Kosova. Good for him.

Shaqir Tafa will become the next albanian Nesta down the road once Mavraj retires ;)

In two years he will be starting for us just like Hysaj did : http://m.calciomercato.com/news/palermo ... gli-777048

There is also Kukeli who can fill in that CB role in case of emergency. He did a good job against Switzerland and in pretty tough circumstances too. He has a high footballing IQ and that's key for a central defender. Mavraj, Djimisiti, Ajeti, and Veseli are the obvious options.. We have enough but yea, it would be nice to have more young prospects.

Rrahmani is better than Herdi Prenga and that's it. Never lrated him tbh. Good luck to Kosovo with this guy leading your D.
