[WC 2018] Albania - FYROM Macedonia - 05/09/2016

With memories of the golden years (80's) of the albanian football still fresh on her mind, Albania is now attempting to recreate its strong football legacy. As young players start making their names abroad, the future is looking bright for Albanian football!

Not a fan of that pairing because none of them can get involved in build up play. Both are bad passers with no vision. What we struggle with is creating chances and both Balaj-Sadiku need to have chances created for them. They are pure poachers and Manaj looks like an identical type as them.

In an 4-4-2 I think Cikalleshi-Sadiku would be a more interesting pairing. Cikalleshi is capable of creating chances for himself(although he's a shitty finisher and passer). I think it would be tougher for defenders to handle that duo. Against Balaj you just have to control the aerial game. That's the only thing Balaj is decent at.

Albania's biggest problem are the wingers tho. It's depressing seeing Kosovo with Bernard Berisha and even their benchwarmers like Halimi and Celina look good. Albania's are horrible.

Watch from minute 30.

I hope everybody watches this. Great that Simboli i Diellit posted it. As someone that was at the game and travelled with the Plisat i have to say it was great as when we all met, TKZ Ballistet and Plisat we all had the same idea. The Plisat being the main organisers of the game, was great as we came from Prishtinë and it was the first game for the lara lara team and we were here leading the Albania game.

As for the grek who kept saying they do not feel like that in Prishtinë watch and listen.

Those are a very tiny minority.

Visar Ymeri of VV got fvcking TORCHED just for congratulating Albania and ignoring the Kosovo NT.

Andi Bushati wrote a nice piece about it.

Bushati is right. He is not denying Albanians to support kosova but he says why should "kosovars" deny Albanians from Kosove to support Albania. http://m.gazetaexpress.com/mobile/lajme ... in-249433/

No, they're actually the majority. Problem is the Pro-Kosovar/Anti-Albanian supporters(who are a small minority) are the ones that hold key positions in government and media and are attempting to brainwash the public into creating a different state. They're the ones that are funded by the EU, United States and the so called NGO organizations that get their funding from people like Soros with the goal in mind to create a separate nation state and use Kosova as their little experiment state. These media figures are all shills. Notice how kosovar figures who are against this get blackmailed like historically Albin Kurti who had fake allegations against him that VV kidnapped a US Journalist/politician and it was found that same US politician lied completely about the same situation.

It's the same what happened with Albanians near the Greek border. Now that sweet Greek money dried up and they're back to being Albanian. I wonder what will happen if/when the EU collapses and if/when Trump gets elected, will this whole "newborn" state dream die and will reality kick in?

Man the world doesn't revolve around Albanians. EU, USA don't give a fck about us and what flag we choose to celebrate with. FFK claimed that it was the Finish FA that banned the Albanian flags from the stadium but all evidence indicates that it was FFK's request all along. When Kosovo played Ukraine in basketball the entire arena in Prishtina was blue and yellow and nobody banned the Albanian flag there. Some people refuse to admit it but most Kosovars SUPPORT their new state and their national teams. There is unlimited evidence to support this no matter how you slice it. It is what it is. All these journalists represent majority of the population, or otherwise they wouldn't exist. In Kosovo people are uncomfortable saying something against the state/flag/NT because it's not the popular thing to do right now. They are viewed as anti-Kosovo pro-Serb svumbags.

VV is dying party and people hate them more and more by the day. You will see in the next election how much their stock has fallen.

Lmao

I thought Macedonia showed Albania way too much respect. They really treated Alb like a big team.. The bunkering, time wasting, flopping, etc.. They really made it clear that they came for a draw. We actually struggled when they attacked and pressed(in the 2nd half mostly). Hell, before the storm happened they looked like they were the team in control.

Offensively Albania was totally harmless and lost. You mention the 61% possession and 460 passes but 98% of all that was defenders passing it to each other the and midfielders passing it backwards to the defenders. It was Macedonia that gave us the possession but we had no clue what to do with it. Albania's entire offensive game was passing it to Hysaj and Hysaj ----> long balls to Sadiku. Hilariously enough, it actually worked once. The stat of the game has to be 0 CORNERS which is insane for a team with 61% possession but if you watched the game it made perfect sense because we were beyond pathetic in attack.

People liked Hyka but I have mixed feelings about him. He won a couple fouls ok but in open field he just looked slow and a lot of heavy touches too. He was pretty harmless. Words cannot describe how bad Gashi was.

And the midfield of Kukeli-Xhaka-Abrashi just doesn't seem to have a lot of chemistry. They never did. They need a more creative player in there. One of Basha, Kace, Memushaj..
I was in Shkoder and i got impression that De Biasi used Macedonia match to prepare squad against Spain and Italy. Obviously he wanted to win badly, and have a good start but for him most important thing is get a result in one of top matches. Making simple passes and keeping the ball is most effective way to frustrate stronger opponents so that's why he insisted to move the ball in defense .To be honest i was very surprised when i saw Gashi and Hyka both starting in line-up, knowing De Biasi that was a 'sacrifice' and quite risky move. Lenjani and Lila will be back in formation against Italy and Spain, It is evident that our opponents will have very limited spaces because they will face always two defensive lines who aren't interested in attacking at all so counter attack move is almost impossible.

Unbelievable what i am reading. A few months ago you were asking who VV are and now your some sort of expert analyst. I am here in Prishtinë and no party is growing at the rate VV is, obviously when the border agreement has taken over a year for the parties in power to complete people will turn to alternatives. I honestly have no idea why you talk about things you have no idea about, very very foolish.

Artan, my man. Always happy to see you post and shut down these bastards who don't know shit. Keep it up. Also, f*** Andi Bushati, he's the one calling people tradhetar for playing for Kosovë.

PS. I'm a strong supporter of VV, but 'forgetting' to mention Kosova playing against Finland in their first competitive match ever, wasn't a smart from Visar Ymeri. But shit happens, life goes on.
