Anyone noticed Gavazaj out-Gavazaj in lol just realized they were two different players . I was at a bar with friends watching the game. The new Gavazaj is only 20 years old , what a great assist he made at the second goal.

Crazy. The first time all Albanian teams went through in Europa League. We'll have 4 teams in EL right now.

Tbh, all these teams needed was a bit of belief. It's not like the quality of football is that much lower than other places. Superliga teams have done shit in Europe historically, but success is a knock-on effect.

This is also good to stop match fixing in Europe, in addition to Skenderbeu's ban. Once owners realize they can make good money this way, maybe they'll put an end to it. I doubt they were making more than a couple of hundred thousand dollars per game anyhow.

Both Milan and Tottenham are on the next round. We might have some spicy games.

All the teams (exception Tirana who will receive more) will receive 500k euros for qualifying to the second round.

Breakout of earnings:
For placing in a EL qualification spot: 240k euros
Advancing to the second qualification round: 260k euros
Advancing to the third qualification round: 280k euros.
Elimination in the playoff Round: 300k euros.
Qualifying for EL Group Stage: 2.92 mil euros

This should be a large financial boost for Albanian squads. Sucks that the Kosovar teams didn't even have a chance because of the Corona virus. It's encouraging to see that many of our squads are young and have built decent scouting networks. Kukesi have many random young Albanian players that were scouted and not from their academy (Ethemi, Gavazaj, Gashi, etc) with some veterans like Telushi. Laci is a team full of young players. Not really sure about Teuta. This is how Skenderbeu had their dominance they signed guys like Berisha, Latifi, Jashanica, Olayinka (not albanian), etc. The talent is out there and it's better to give these guys a chance then like a 34 year old Tefik Osmani who will be overpriced.

I think Shkendija and Kukesi has the best chance getting out of the second round out of all our teams. Both teams play very progressive and fast it seems. I was surprised with Kukesi and how random signings like Gashi and Gavazaj performed, and of course the goal by that one guy. Laci looked really flat and kinda disappointing since there two forwards tore up the Superliga, but Cungu has had decent success with Kukesi in EL qualifying in the past and defensively they are sound. Don't expect anything from Teuta but who knows, kinda cool seeing NT legend out there Emiliano Villa.

Exactly. Think about how much money Tirana will make. They made 690k euros so far by just wining one game (granted they had to win the league). They'll probably sell Muci for something like 500k euros. Maybe guys like Celhaka, Ismalgjeci and Cobinah also get sold (this year or next year).

They'll probably make something like 1.5 mil euros this summer if they don't win another game and sell Muci and Cobinah.

Well there was some encouraging signs from Kosova as Gjilani (lowest ranked team in the whole competition) went to extratime vs. APOEL (highest ranked 1st qualifier round team). Sucks for Prishtina that they had to forfeit their match.
