He's better than Salihi for sure so why not call him up if he wants to play.
Because if he wants to come it's only because the team is winning and he wants to jump on the bandwagon. It would be a bad call up regardless.

Say what you want about Salihi but this dude flew from USA and China to sit on the NT bench. You need guys like that in the locker room.

In other news Elvir Maloku confirmed that he will play for Albania. He received a call up for the u-21 and accepted. http://hajduk.hr/vijest/elvir-maloku--o ... niju-/5849

Yes I do agree with you on that one. I have mad respect for Hamdi as a person and a player even though he doesn't contribute much to the NT. We definitely need guys like him in the locker room. Berisha on the other hand is a prick but I admire his football skills and I kinda regret he wasn't available when we could have used him. Now with Gashi, Balaj and Cikalleshi there's no room for Berisha anymore.

lol So he wants to play for us now when we have 3 quality players at the striker position and not when we were in desperate need before? Sorry, he may be a good player and goalscorer but we don't really need him right now, although he's free to join and come off the bench I guess.

lol, I made the same comment about Salihi. Say what you want about him but the man would take a bus from Uzbekistan or w/e god forsaken country he's playing for a NT cap. He's a respected man in the locker room and the press seem to have a hard on for him which is more the reason to keep around(same with Bulku). Maybe a team that's filled with new diaspora players can use a Shkodran looking after them and to adjust them to everything.

As for Berisha he doesn't seem too committed either. I get the impression that he wants to represent the NT on his own accord. I have the feeling he would like to play now when he is on break but for a friendly during his playing season he'll reject us... than ofc if we do qualify he'll hop on the first plane to France. Thanks for everything Besart but we need committed players to the cause, you're either in or you're not and at this point it seems like he's not. I have the gut feeling he's giving this praise to DB because there's a realistic chance we may qualify.

He does have a point though. A flight from Melbourne to Tirana is +/- 24 hours.

Well Berisha is not a traitor. He just had to make a career decision. If he can help us, then why not. He still is a great finisher.

an easy excuse, Australia called up 11 players that play in European leagues, should they cancel because of the long travel? Note that Australian national team again travel a lot because they are part of AFC and not OFC, next week they go to Kyrgyzstan for a Wolrd Cup Qual game.

This and the fact Salihi did his flights to stay in the bench shows you how much dedication Berisha gives to the NT.

Slightly different scenarios. Salihi has been riding the bench since he moved to MLS about 4 years ago. If you're warming the bench at club level you might as well warm it with the NT. Berisha on the other hand has been the main attacking thread in A League for his two clubs since 2012. They both moved away from Europe around the same time but their careers took very different paths: Salihi's has been going downhill whereas Berisha has resurrected his career in Australia.

In two years of qualifying round he has to travel oncein september , once in october , once in march , once in september again and close it with last october. So in two years he has to come 5 times ;) De Biasi asked him to play official matches not friendlies . He seems to jump on the bandwagoon now because with other 3 points we might have guaranteed the playoffs and being nearest ever to qualifying but to me B.Berisha doesn't deserve the callup. I'd prefer Avdijaj much more , guy has more prespective than a 29 years old player playing in a Serie B like tournament in Australia .
