Nah... there are plenty of better teams than Roma out there who haven't hired him previously, the truth is, despite how much of a legend he is, he is a little finished now. Roma isn't even top5 biggest clubs in their own league under him let alone in the world.artan wrote: ↑Mon May 22, 2023 10:33 pmMourinho has coached practically half the top teams. Teams like Chelsea, United or Real won’t hire him again due to his recent history with them. Some other teams like Barca will never hire him due to his Real connections and anti Barca style. There’s realistically no more top teams for him to manage besides PSG.CanaYouDoIt wrote: ↑Sun May 21, 2023 4:51 pmahahahahahahah yeah man that’s why he got fired at United , Tottenham and now doing “miracles” finishing 6th in back to back years. No big teams want him because he simply isn’t a top coach anymore.
Hence the Roma job which is something that motivates him. If he wins the Europa league with them he has succeeded with them and will be pushing for Serie A title soon
PSG (due to have an opening), Napoli/Juventus, Man City, Arsenal, Bayern (who recently had an opening), etc, there are many clubs. They just now have better managers than him.
They just don't want him because he is not the hot commodity he has once been.
That's forgetting Chelsea who literally hired Graham Potter and rehired Frank Lampard as interim and we're saying that they wouldn't take him back if they thought it was the right thing. Of course they would.
ECL and EL back-to-back wins (if happens) is a big achievement for a club like Roma but the truth is he is not doing some stellar job, they haven't moved in the league under him and he has more backing from their board than usually is given.
