Stadiums

With memories of the golden years (80's) of the albanian football still fresh on her mind, Albania is now attempting to recreate its strong football legacy. As young players start making their names abroad, the future is looking bright for Albanian football!

There is a reason why in France most players are of African descent. It's because the native Frenchmen are lazy and immigrants are the only one making sacrifices for football. I suspect the number of Romas and Balkan Egyptians in Albanian football to dominate over the coming years. Football in Albania is becoming a game for those with parents with deep pockets, or the very poor. The middle class steer their kids away from sports.

To call frenchman "lazy" because they don't dominate the football scene is bit overblown. Usually, the western countries have good participation in all sports even the weird olymypic ones while you never see immigrants pursue that(could be because of money) and not to mention they(frenchman) also excel in other areas like theater, arts, etc.

As for romas dominating Albanian football is a completely overblown statement as there's no evidence behind it. Albanians make up atleast 90% of the population despite the shrink in the population(because of emigration) but looks like it has stabled now. The roma population hasn't increased the slightest nor does Albania have a large gypsy population like other Balkan countries and I know you're going to say some random city like Elbasan is infested with gypsies to try and prove a point.

With the rise of academies and other clubs it will give young players an oppurtonity. That's where the problem comes down to because there aren't many teams or clubs where kids can play to show their talent. Not about being lazy..

Where is this "shrinkage"? The population has always been around 3 million. There have been people who left, but a lot are returning, especially from Greece. I never said "infested", as I don't care if gypsies play for us, as long as they speak Albanian and aren't some random Nigerian or Brazilian who has only been living there for a year. Btw Romas are severely under-represented in official numbers because most don't fill out the census.

But I'm telling you, it's people who either have deep pockets, or the ones who have nothing that go into sports. Because the first can afford it, and the second have nothing to lose. Most families around the middle don't care about sports, and force kids to do well in school.

Rama told Vucic on Twitter that the game will be played in Shkoder. Sounds like they're on schedule to make this happen.

Some field renovations in Vlore. Not a bad stadium honestly. FSHF could have done some renovations here and make it UEFA standards.

They're starting to install the plastic seats for Selman Stermasi(Tirana). I think the outside is currently getting a face lift as well

It's like they built Hadrian's Wall to shield the players from potential pitch invaders. I guess that's one way to make sure violence doesn't erupt...

Most importantly though they still have a running track for Puka's finest runners.

     I have no idea what they are doing here. it looks like the house of one of my old neighbors in albania who got pissed that people keep walking by his private house and build a wall like that surrounding it.

Terbuni has ultras! We should do them a favor and come up with a contemporary name since they are in Superliga now. I will go with Puka Bulldogs

Lol at your description, the FA had to lincense the stadium two days ago because they did't fillup all requirements . Don't know yet if it fullfills all security standarts but i can say that their field is filled with snow and ice from october to february , they better get a hockey team :D
