Albanians trying to scapegoat someone with 300+ serie a appearances was never realistic.
Personally never got the hate, always played for us, never pulled out like a lot do, and no one better than him in his position. So weird the hate he gets.
I think Balliu has been clearly better for a while now.

Hysaj has had a really bad couple of years for the NT, to be honest, but he's also been a great servant of it so I don't hate him either.

Hopefully he can get back to his former level. His level with the NT recently hasn't been good.

Did you see Balliu in the last few games as a starter?? He wasn't anywhere near who we thought he was. Mistake galore defensively and on offense. It's easy to take players like Hysaj and Asllani for granted but their replacements will always show you the truth.

I think a lot of Albanians just copy Italian fans reactions and try to paste them to the NT even thought it's different world. Of course Lazio and Inter fans can say someone like Hysaj is shit because they have completely different standards.

For Albania Hysaj is a legend and there is no Albanian RB better than him.

erm its his first taste of senior football and normally where talents are sent to play. Probably could have got a move to L1/Championship too but will get guaranteed playtime till the end of the season. Then next year will probably get a Championship move.

writing a guy off for his first loan move is hilarious. oh and he started straight away and played well last night

Legend might be a stretch but he's always been a steady professional. Before Silvio came on board he was tasked with being something he's not and playing in these wingback roles where he'll have to attack and provide width in a system that was completely dysfunctional offensively. He took alot of criticism for those teams but the real issue were those awful formations (3-5-2) and some god awful players in the lineup (Cikaleshi, Balaj, Trashi). Those Reja years seem like a fever dream and it's always ironic how Hysaj took the criticism from the pundits while guys like Cikaleshi were treated like stars.

Hysaj always been a solid defender and that's something most people don't appreciate.

Hysaj is a legend for the NT but was at his best over a decade ago. Last few years been badddd badd..

Shaquille O’Neal is a legend too but that don’t mean he was any good playing for the Cavs or the Celtics

Legend might be a stretch
Will be our most capped player, key in 2 Euro campaigns, yeah he's as legendary as you can get.

Shpendi has no chance to get invitation from Italy, Retegui is bullying Serie A, Kean is having great season. Lucca, Esposito, Piccoli, Colombo, Pinamonti are ahead of Shpendi even if injuries crisis happens he doesn't have chance.

10 goals in 20 appearances is pretty good for a 21 year old in Serie B, but seeing 5 out of 10 of the goals are pens, its hard to see what the hype is about.

Sure he's probably decent (haven't watched) but on paper I don't see how we can be panicked about him going to Italy. It would take more than that.

I don't think the Italian coaches even know who Shpendi is.
