He definitely seems checked out. Doesn't even look like he wants to play. Burnley spent all that money on him and they don't trust him in the league at all. In these cup games against 3rd division teams he's dropping stinkers.
That injury did a number on him. Maybe more mentally than physically.

He is not at the level of the Premier League right now and I've been saying for several years he needs to seek a move to a lower level league before he puts the nail in the coffin on his career.
He has been inactive for almost 3 years now and this will make another season where he is hardly playing. He needs a career resurrection in one of the leagues like Turkey, Belgium, Holland etc.
