Berisha is most similar to Asllani, which is why he probably doesn't play so much. Silvinjo feels a bit more comfortable with one of Ramadani or Shehu next to Asllani since they're more defensive minded, but we do need to see if Berisha and Asllani together works. In a 4-3-3 it likely works, but in a 4-2-3-1 neither is willing to do the dirty work.

Medon is a typical 8 like Laci. He just needs to improve defensively and obviously doesn't have the work rate of Laci but he has his own qualities. He shoots rockets from long range. Sad that he couldnt even get 10 minutes against Jordan. He played Asllani 90 minutes in both games.

I agree that Berisha is a typical 8 like Laci, however Laci doesn't play as an 8 for Albania. Laci mostly plays as the attacking cm in a 4-2-3-1, in which he only does because of his aggressiveness and work rate. At the moment, I see Berisha as Asllani's direct replacement in this formation, which sucks for Berisha because he really is a good cm and technically excellent. He can deff play the acm role too, but Silvinjo probably doesn't see it that way rn.

Reja : "Sylvinho deserves a lot of credit, but the ones saying he found these players are all wrong, none of these players are new, I found these players. We convinced Asllani to play for us, I spoke to Mitaj's father to bring him here and away from Greece."

After a very successful international break, Albania is up to #61 on FIFA rankings, while Kosovo is up to #84.

I'm not sure why we're so low even after getting #1 in last qualifiers. With DB we reached 23.

Yeah, Reja benched Asllani, we remember.

Sylvinho deserves credit for bringing in the likes of Asani and Shehu. Asani, especially, doesn't the pass the eye test at all, but I doubt we would have qualified without him. To bring some rando and for him to be the difference maker is a crazy flex.
