May aswell see 10 CB's parking the bus. Albania is training the future managers by the Coverciano experts while Kosova is training theirs with German DFB experts. Future will say if De Biasi is wrong about Avdiaj....
Honestly, we're not built to be a technical squad and a defensive mentality is what we need at the moment to be competitive. While Di Biasi has taken this strategy to the max you can't deny the results speak for themselves. High pressing, counter attacking football is what we should aspire to play as.
But that being said Avdijaj should be getting capped. I've advocated for him since June 2014 call ups but if the guy doesn't accept a call up can't do anything about it. I'm not sure if he's the talent everyone thinks he is.
I wouldn't look too much in the appointment. I'm not sure a marketing expert has anything to do with the style of play and that's more of a reflection of the coach and youth set up
Results do not speak for themselves. Everyone is really being blinded by some flukes. We achieved 3 'real' wins this campaign and that has been achieved before. 2 came against bottom team Armenia (one against 10 men where we were actually losing and the other against a Armenia side with nothing to play for). A The other came away in Portugal, which was actually one of the best performances we put in. The three points we were given in Serbia eneded Serbia's hopes of qualifying and sealed a top 3 finish for us.
With the list De Biasi put out today i really do wonder if not qualifying would of helped our team more than qualifying has. It seems De Biasi has a fixed side and he doesn't even bother watching other players or he honestly is just geting paid and doesn't give a f*** about the National side. Ajeti has had no club for 6 months, called up. Cikaleshi has not scored for 3 months, called up (and will somehow start). Lenjani is not even on the bench most games, called up (i would probably call him up too). Lilaj should not be in the national team either. Rashica who plays every game for his club in a decent league at 19 years old and has 3 goals and 4 assists in 11 games, is not called up. This is a friendly, maybe it would be understandable if these were qualifiers and he didn't call up new players but this is a friendly where new players should be tested out as there is no point in seeing the same shit you see every time, plus Rashica is better then all of the foward player we have at the moment.
Out of the six attackers we have: Balaj, Sadiku, Cikaleshi, Roshi, Lenjani, Gashi, only Balaj plays for his club regularly. We have a team which is built up of bench players with a weak mentality and that is why we are honestly going no where. Cana at 32 is one of the few players we have which consistently starts for club.
