So Albanians from Republic of Albania, Ilirida and Lugina play united for Albania and Kosova isolates itself? The home of the UÇK. This is beyond ridiculous, especially with Lugina as Kosova seperates the two terroritories.

The Albanians from Kosovë who play for Albania will not leave and if we get Hasi we keep control of the situation.

Rrahmani and Shala are from Kosova. Gym Gym in CB. He's not a Kosovar but from Presheva. Cana will probably leave NT after Euros.

I know Rrahmani and a few of the other guys aren't from the RA but I included him as he played for the u21 and partizani.

I think a bunch of these guys will have a gentlemen's agreement. Some plays will leave or stay of they're guaranteed a starting spit. For example if mavraj and berat leave for kosova then rrahmani and ajeti will stay and be starters for shqipni. Gashi will stay with shqipni as he will be a starter as he won't start over guys like rashica, januzaj, if they decide to leave. Meha for example will be gone as he can't even make the preliminary.

Its all about who's staying or leaving. We will still have the core in tact.

Congrats to Kosova. Mixed feelings but I've made my peace long ago with this. Any recognition of any Albanian parts is fine by me as it will help those parts. Much better a Kosova NT than asking Serbia permission for everything. It will hopefully develop the clubs and youth facilities. I don't really care about the plans as I didn't expect anything to begin with. After all we all know our politicians.
I'm not gonna comment on the RA "lack of patriotism" as its a pathetic argument as always.
What I see here is the optimists among us predict a step on unification of our football. I'm somewhat sceptical if not convinced of the opposite. I wouldn't wanna be in the shoes of that player from Kosova who will have to make a choice between Albania and Kosova. Internet style folklore patriotism will do its thing. Can't see any present ones switch and that's for sure as their argument is made and it's easy for them and if anyone dared to swich would be more immoral than incest as it just doesn't make sense. As for the future we will do what we do best on both NT. Fvck it all up and blame someone

I wonder what are the rules for joining FIFA? Gilbraltar is part of uefa too but not FIFA so they can only play in euro competitions. Gilbraltar even took their FIFA case to CAS.

It's a bit complicated I think but from what I'm reading FFK looks confident on being admitted. We were laughing a few months ago when FFK said they were confident of their admission to UEFA and look what happened. I am not as skeptical now I used to be and I think they have a pretty decent chance of admission next week.

Oh absolutely, Gibraltar set a precedence for Kosova to be admitted quickly. FFK got admitted by UEFA just in time to be part of the next FIFA conference that's coming up in the next two weeks I believe. During this conference I expect them to designate a spot for Both Gibraltar and Kosova in the WC qualifiers.

I can see Ledzep root for Greece in that scenario and I can understand it even though I don't like it. I also appreciate his honesty. He strikes me as someone madly interested in Albanian football but not in the patriotic/nationalist sense. He also spent time of his youth in Greece so he naturally has some affinity for the country. I think many Albanians from former Yugoslavia struggle with the lack of patriotism/nationalism of Albanians from Albania but it is something good that is real unfortunately.

The problem is though that there isnt a valid reason IMHO to not support your own over your enemy. Regardless if the greeks have given jobs to albanians and even prevented them from starving to death. They're still our enemy and a main instigator of problems in our modern history. I know Ledzed doesnt buy the whole patriotism thing and its ok. But there has to be common ground for us in what we can believe and not believe in imo.

Ive encountered same problem with people from Dardania who are indifferent towards greece, some even rooted for them against portugal for no other reason than to see ronaldo cry like he usually did back then.

For me it depends how their following will shape up. If the fans are fully decked in red and black and not blue and yellow and if KNT doesn't become a vehicle for the creation of a separate national identity the I can see myself root just as hard for Kosova tbh.

I understand what you mean, and I doubt that. The hardcore fans will not support kosovas nt unless its against the serbs obviously. Those times that Kosova had a game, the stadium was mostly filled with families who saw it as a fun thing...

Im totally against two NTs. Nothing good will come out of it. I also want a joing league. Imagine 10-15 years from now a game between Prishtina vs Tirana. Id probably root for both to lose but Id definetly want to watch that in Tirana and Prishtina.

But how does the FIFA admission work? Is it a voting process like UEFA and what % have to vote pro?

The UEFA thing was interesting because a lot of countries that have recognized Kosovo as a state voted against it becoming a UEFA member.
